Uusimaa (Swedish: Nyland, Finnish: [ˈuːsimɑː]; Swedish: [ˈnyːlɑnd]; both lit. “new land”) is a region of Finland. It borders the regions of Southwest Finland, Tavastia Proper, Päijänne Tavastia, and Kymenlaakso.
