When we travel we always try different places to eat. Have been to Manzanillo many times. We had lunch here and was the best place we found in Manzanillo this time through. I had the Carribean chicken and my wife had the Vegetarian Rice and Beans. Both were excellent. If you are in Manzanillo you must stop here for some excellent Southern Caribbean food!

Traditional lay back restaurant in the city center of Puerto Viejo. The place offers mostly traditional dishes and very good drinks. The place is mostly visited by locals living in Costa Rica. The dishes size are quite impressive. For example, I've order pollo en salsa caribbean. I had mostly half of the chicken.I would recommend the place to a group of friends travelling.

We split a pizza combo including garlic bread and 2 drinks, which was more than enough to split between two people. The pizza was good and the cocktails tasty. Food came quickly and was very, very good. Waitstaff weren't the friendliest but they spoke and understood English which is a bonus.

Very affordable restaurant!!! We stopped here for breakfast. What a cozy and comfortable little restaurant. They greeted us as soon as we entered. The coffee and the food were bursting with flavor. The Casado was amazing!!! Great for families too. The portions are overly generous. What an amazing place!!! I can still taste the food just thinking about it. It is out of this world delicious!!!

I always stop at Lola's on my way back from the Caribbean. It's easy off/on parking if you're heading back toward San José. I also like comida tÃpica, traditional Costa Rican food.On my last visit I tried the Sopa Azteca--a tomato soup with cheese, avocado, and tortilla pieces. this was touted as Lola's special recipe and it was very very good. I will have sopa azteca at Lola's again.

Our lunch was excellent here at Soda Shekina! We ate the Chicken with Caribbean Sauce (about $7) and had the pineapple juice and watermelon juice. I loved the chicken and the Pineapple juice was unforgettable. Our friend gave us a taste of her dish, shrimp with coconut sauce (about $9). It was Amazing! I can't wait to return. Restaurant was located on the same block as grocery store and tattoo parlor.Soda means local restaurant so price was great for fabulous food! I recommend you have colones when going to Soda but lucky for us, Soda Shekina, accepted dollars.

Whether it be lunch and cocktails on the beach or candlelit dinner by the koi fish pond, Banana Azul's motto for our restaurant is 'Fresh & Simple.' We strive to only use fresh ingredients and try to stay away from processed foods. We also offer vegetaria
Hubby and I enjoyed dinner, and a take-out lunch, at Banana Azul in July when we rented a house nearby on Playa Negra Beach (reviewed separately) and it was recommended by the owners. The restaurant has a pleasant atmosphere, great food, friendly service, free wifi, and reasonable prices. It also had a (free) locked and fenced parking area. We had sandwiches for lunch and for dinner, I had lasagna and hubby had mahi mahi. Everything was delicious and we enjoyed our meals. We also enjoyed the soup and salad buffet at dinner. The total bill for dinner was about $50 and they accepted credit cards. The gardens are lovely and we returned during the day to walk through and enjoy the grounds more fully in the daylight. We enjoyed the koi pond that stretches the length of the dining area with its many fish and turtles. The garden had beautiful paths, plants, and trees. The beach area also looked beautiful, although we didnât relax there. We recommend dining at Banana Azul and will return when we visit Puerto Viejo in the future!*Thank you for reading my review! Close to the beach, offering pizza, meat and sea food. I enjoyed the "blue" tuna with sesame sprinkles and then the brownie with ice cream.

Had a small dinner yesterday , waiter was polite and understanding. Had to return back the Mohito, because of misunderstanding, and the Mohito was replaced, No question asked.Ordered their special Budha Tikos, and vegetarian homous dish. Nice food.At the end they gave us free pinnacolada, on the house.Nice live music, while eating. Wish there was a nice table to sit.
