We were treated to an incredible, one-of-a-kind dinner by the owner of the place! He explained the mode of preparation for the sausages that are the focus of this fancy fast food joint -- very simple, hand- and home-made -- and suggested specific wine pairings for each one. I usually don't eat processed meat, but broke my rule here and ate two: the chef's selection, and a second spicy offering. The chef's selection came with a medium-bodied Chilean Malbec and the spicy with Pinotage, and both pairings were perfect. As we ate, we took in the decor, crafted by an award-winning architectural team. I have definitely never had such an incredible combination of food, ambience, and service. 6/5.WOW! Thanks for your comments... but the most, for enjoing the Bò_Xperience! Cheers!

Mountain restaurant and lookout point with an excellent view of the capital city of San José, the city of Heredia, Tres RÃos, Aserrà and the Irazú Volcano. Located at 5870 feet above sea level, with 2 fireplaces and decorated like home it has a cozy and w
Staff did a terrific job of setting up for a small wedding at the best central valley lookout point. Food and drink were super and well served. The ceremony took place at 5:15 with the light fading, then all the valley lights came on for a stellar view. Very reasonable cost for a small wedding in a magical setting. The floor show after supper with marimba music and folkloric dancing capped it off. Recommended for any occasion.

Restaurant Grano de Oro merges Costa Rican tropical with European cuisine under the expertise of our French chef Francis Canal. Once a simple cafe, this restaurant has evolved into one of San Joseâs finest dining establishments, frequented by locals and t
I visited the restaurant with mum and some dear friends. The restaurant is located inside Grano de Oro's Hotel. The atmosphere of this place is exquisite and absolutely unique in San Jose because the architecture of this hotel, despite is a recent work (modern) evokes the beautiful charm of Victorian architecture. There's a refined work of interior architecture and details which well worth a visit and which will make you feel you into another era.But not just the atmosphere counts, food is wonderful, tasty, refined and prepared with love and care.In the menu you can choose a wide variety of delicious dishes made with local ingredients and french cooking techniques, as well.I strongly encourage people to visit the place. It worth it!Luis Manuel Espinoza R.

I ordered the tamarind chicken and it was quite dry and needed a bit more salt in order to balance out the sweetness of the tamarind sauce. The service was outstanding. They really work hard in small details to make you feel well taken care of, and I loved that! All in all it was a very good experience.

Silvestre is located in one of San José's finest old neighborhoods, inside a house with a 1930's facade, where history becomes the story and XXI century culinary techniques collide with the origins of Costa Rican cuisine. 3 ambiances filled with art, grea
Had the set lunch and it was a good value. Service was great and the good was good. Downside is that parking is very inconvinient.

The Zambra lobby bar provides the perfect place to relax, featuring martinis, cocktails, sangria and a light tapas menu with live music.
Over the past four months I have spent, on average, two weeks a month at the Intercontinental, which included many visits to Bar Zambra. Javier, Randall, Jonathan, Chris, Ana, Mauren, Marianela and the rest of the staff are warm and friendly, and make all guests feel at ease. The food is served from one of the fine restaurants on site, and the drinks are served cold and perfectly mixed. You will not be disappointed at Bar Zambra.Dear client,Thank you for taking the time to share with us your comments. It´s a pleasure you enjoyed the experience of Zambra, we´re glad the service you received was excellent. Forward to welcome you soon.Best regards,Ricardo Menendez,General Manager.

We took a group of our collaborators for lunch to the Market today. We had coordinated some details beforehand but definitely it was thanks to Priscilla's attention and amazing service that we had such a pleasant experience. The food was delicious, service was great, prompt, and super courteous. Even having a vegan person have her lunch BTO, everything was seamless. This has been a nightmare at other places but most certainly not here. Thanks Priscilla!Dear Adrian,We´re glad that you enjoyed the food and the service of The Market. Thanks for sharing your comments, your opinion it´s very important for us. Forward to welcome you soon.Best regards,Ricardo Menendez,General Manager.

Everything about this restaurant was superb: the ambience, the waitstaff and service and especially the amazing food prepared by chef (and co-owner) Richard Neat. And we never anticipated finding one of the best restaurants we ever ate at in Costa Rica! We started our evening with two of their creative cocktails which included a Passion Fruit Martini. For our main dining we chose the Degustation Menu...an experience not to be missed. Five coursesâ each with two different tapas which were so artfully constructed and presented, I hesitated to try the food before I could first take a photo! It was that unique and creative! And delicious. Each course was accompanied by a small glass of wine which was perfectly paired with the food. Our whole dining experience lasted two hours. It was like being a part of an âEpicurican Theatreâ, The intimate restaurant is set within an indoor/outdoor antiques shop displaying a beautiful collection of pieces from mainly Indonesia. It was karma sitting amongst many Buddhaâs, wood and stone art, as well as water features and gently swaying paper lanterns. Hats off to international chef, Richard Neat! He and his staff made our anniversary an event to remember.Dear Mimi and Michael. Thank you so much for your company and review, we're so happy that you enjoyed yourselves. Have a great continuation of your trip in CR and congrats on that project. Best wishes, Richard
