Outstanding spaghetti bottarga vongole, aragostine and fritto misto. Sig. Max always attentive with fine service and high quality foods. Wines are good although would prefer some higher end white wines. After bad experiences around the corner, this was a great find. Will always come back.

We ate lunch here one day as it was on the way from the beach to our hotel. We sat outside and the service was good, plenty to choose from on the menu and we although we only had one course of pasta which was more than enough for lunch time; the waiter didn’t bat an eyelid that we didn’t order much, which was good and the food tasted lovely.

I went with my family for dinner last night 10th July. We had oysters (delicious), a pizza equally good, pasta with seafood, mixed grill fish, tagliata and lamb. All very good but the lamb was from frozen (this was specified on the menu - very odd that they cannot offer fresh cut). The service was slow for the main courses to arrive and the past was Delivery last 5 minutes after the others. In fairness they asked at the check out if we had enjoyed dinner and we complained about the service; they offered a grappa and gave us €5 discount. Thank you, this was a good gesture.

Not sure how I should rate this place. Location is stunning, overlooking one of the nicest Beaches in Sardinia. Interior is a mixtures of French country style and Italian beach club, overall pleasant. We did get some interesting appetizers, but menu arrived around 45 minutes after we had sat down. Go there if you are no rush and don't mind to get main dishes 2 hours after you arrive. Food is experimental, some things work better than others. Interesting wine choices. Be aware if you are in a budget, prices can be high compared to nearby restaurants, but then this place is different from anything else in costa del Rei. How can I summarize: Go there once if you are staying at Costa de Rei, but on balance it is more fuss and style than actual substance. Still, worth giving it a go.

We tried Isola Verde upon suggestion of another guest to our beach house. The play park in front of the restaurant was very good, albeit over-used by larger children when we visited. The pizza was ok, but not as tasty or as fresh as Su Nuraxi down the road. Our order was placed about the same time as everyone around us, as we watched people eat/ receive their bill/ get dessert, we waited for our meals. No explanation, but it finally arrived and it was fine but nothing extraordinary. Suppose if something catches you on the menu, try it but there are far better spots in Costa Rei.

We had two lovely meals at Sa Cardiga e Su Pisci. As recommended in an earlier review, we sat in the Terrace area. Our toddler enjoyed the play area. And we partook in fresh pastas and seafood, the Sardinian starter and house white wine. It is more expensive than most spots in Costa Rei, but it is the top rated restaurant for good reason. This would not be a daily eatery on holiday, but a really nice night out.

We were recommended to try Chaplin by our host. They were correct, we enjoyed a huge plate of excellent grilled mixed fish. All perfectly fresh and cooked perfectly, let the food speak for itself. The ambience of the restaurant is beach bar, plastic chairs, open skies, no view, not the best. The staff were great, friendly and helpful.
Yes we will be back because the food was excellent and well priced.

This is a very special resto, they only open and cook for the people who book. The food is all fresh with ingredients from the farm, there on the spot. They have a fixed menu where you try everything, and its not a little pf each, believe me its plenty!!! 2 gourmands people could not finish in the end all the food. Wine is also local and very good!!! All food, wine, water, coffees, dessert, antipasti, pasta, meat, all all costed only 30 eur per person!! Unbelievably tasty yummy food;-)

Costa Rei is the kind of tourist village that totally shuts down out of season, so we were pleased to stumble across La Piazzetta, open for lunch on a Saturday in December. They offered €10 and €18 fixed price menus at lunchtime. We opted for the former, featuring a choice of 4-5 primi (pasta/risotto course) and a choice of 4-5 secondi (main course) plus a choice of contorno (side dish). The food was of very good quality and the value for money was excellent. House wine served in carafes is invariably cheap in Italian restaurants (generally around €5/litre) but the quality can sometimes leave a little to be desired. Not here: the quality was much better than average. All in all, an excellent find on a quiet, out of season Saturday.
The restaurant seems relatively new and the decoration is very tasteful. It's set well back from the road in a new residential development....I expect there are outside tables in the summer. I imagine in high season it's overrun, given how busy Costa Rei gets, so perhaps it might not be such a relaxing experience, and it wouldn't surprise me if the fixed price menu is only offered out of season either. However if you're in Costa Rei out of season I would strongly recommend giving this place a try.

Our mistake, we sat outside and the wind got up. After that it was a battle to keep the glasses on the table.. Watch out on a windy day.
The food was ok, nothing special, I had spaghetti with clams, my wife lasagne. Both were competently cooked, and well presented. The staff were friendly, I think in high season this place will be packed, they have a lot of tables.. In low season it was a quick and easy lunch.. Nothing special.
