We are very pleased with this stay. The hotel was great, the rooms clean and the buffet varied. (Dudoh was perfect with us?) The staff was very welcoming and especially Néstor, a receptionist very available and attentive. We also had a good animation team, like Marcel, a very dynamic and always smiling animator, we recommend you his activities, we had a great time! ? The only problem of the hotel is that there is not necessarily a customer parking, which is not good for a 4 stars hotel. This hotel is also very good for children, there are many activities and space for them.

H10 Playa Esmeralda is an adults-only hotel near Costa Calma, on the southeast coast of Fuerteventura. There's a range of daytime and evening activities organised by the staff, as well as plenty to do independently around the hotel. The hotel's buildings are all arranged to face in towards the pool area. There's a sun terrace and a garden, an outdoor pool with a pool bar, and space to enjoy sports activities in the sunshine. The hotel has three restaurants, one of which was renovated in 2018. There are also several bars to choose from, including a lobby bar with a terrace, and a disco bar, which is open until late. Inside, you'll find a heated indoor pool, as well as a gym for keeping up with your workouts on holiday. You could relax in the spa and sauna when you've finished your exercise. In the evenings, there's live entertainment organised by the hotel, or you can find the table tennis and pool tables for a few friendly games after dinner. The reception at H10 Playa Esmeralda is open 24hrs a day, and there's free Wi-Fi throughout the hotel. The island of Fuerteventura is popular with holidaymakers of all kinds for its romantic scenery and relaxed way of life. It has sandy beaches and a warm climate, as well as dramatic volcanic landscapes to explore. There are plenty of places to eat, drink and shop in the many resorts around the island, with lots of local markets and bars to discover.
We are spending our last day here before going to Corralejo. We are staying in the junior suite with a huge balcony, 2 sunloungers, beautiful views of the sea. The service was very good from the start, check in quick and easy. The cleaning service is also great throughout the hotel. The first night we had dinner in the privilege restaurant. Unfortunately the food was not great ( in my case it was inedible baked seabass) so we decided to abandon dinner and use the main restaurant instead. The buffet breakfast and dinner was always very good, we always found something nice to eat, therefore we never used the privilege restaurant again. We went half board, during the day we explored the surrounding beaches, therefore we didn't need lunch. I would highly recommend to visit Morro Jable if you have a rental car. There is a privilege lounge from 9am to 9pm where there are snacks and drinks available throughout the day. The room was amazing, however the A/C is not very effective (to say the least) and we found that this was in issue in the whole complex. We used the gym every day, where there is no A/C at all. The hotel has access to a small beach, which is great, and the pool is also good. We didn't use the spa, as it was too warm. The evening entertainment was good. Costa calma and Sotavento beach is very close. There are shops and pharmacy close by in case you need anything. I would definitely stay here again, however the A/C needs to be improved.

I stayed here the last week of April 2022 and it was fantastic. I had a beach view room that was about 30 minutes walk from the pool and 90 seconds from the restaurant. I really can't fault anything about this hotel. The food was great, the staff were friendly; snacks were available at the pool from 10:30am right through until about 6:30pm and the animation team did an amazing job. The beach is simply spectacular - I got up for a walk every morning at 7am just to watch and it was stunning. There were a selection of families and couples but I was a solo traveller and felt very comfortable. The majority of visitors were German as Costa Calma seems to be an area German tourists visit, but everyone was very friendly. The resort is quite a distance from the airport (my transfer was approx 90 minutes) but definitely worth the trek. I can't wait to visit again next year

Still here but wanted to add a review as I always look at Trip Advisor before booking anything. We are here on a weeks holiday and only booked it 10 days ago. The hotel is lovely and big. There are not many people here at the minute but that’s good. Check in was quick and easy and our room is just behind reception. We have a two storey room with two bathrooms and two bedroom. It big enough for us as a family of four. Two double wardrobes and drawers along with a hairdryer in the upstairs bathroom. Air con on both floors too. Just be aware that there are not many plugs in the rooms. At the side of the bed are USB chargers for your phones iPads etc. Food. The food is lovely. There isn’t much choice but there is more than enough to choose from unless you are one of those folk who eats 4-5 plate fulls (because you’re on holiday and it’s all inclusive!). Breakfast has the continental option, along with cereals, nuts and yogurt. They also have bread for toasting, bacon, beans, mini sausages, scrambled eggs, fried eggs and various vegetables. They also have chips. The main restaurant shuts after breakfast and snacks and lunch time are held in the bar near to the pool. The snacks are toasties, Hot Dogs and burgers along with lots of salad options. The main lunch is then a meat (steak, pork chops, chicken in BBq sauce) with rice, vegetables, lots of salads, soups, chips and breads. There is something for everyone. The puddings are also lovely and fresh. When lunch is over they bring out cakes and donuts that are available until 6pm Evening meal is the same with lots of meats, salads, soups. The waiters are lovely and on Thursday we were entertained with live music. The drinks are self serve which is easier. There are a few pool tables dotted around. They are €2 to play on. There is also a small arcade down near the pool for the kids so bring some cash! ? There is a bar by reception that is open from 3pm I believe. The lady in here is lovely and this is where the kids disco takes place at 20:45hours. We don’t have children of that age but the lad who runs it is very energetic and has around 5-6 little kids dancing to the songs. It only lasts for about 20 mins and then there is either a quiz or bingo on. There is also music played on the speakers. Don’t worry it’s not loud. There is a disco on the second floor but this isn’t open. Unsure why but I’m assuming due to not many people being here. So bring a few travel games or Uno to play with the kids. The pool is lovely. There is a mini children’s pool that gets quite warm. The big pool is lovely and once in it’s also warm. Inflatables are allowed and there is no deep end. So no diving in but all the children in there can stand up. Lots of sun beds and parasols. The lifeguard seems to be doing three jobs in one. He’s cleaning, being a lifeguard and putting tiles down around the pool. Very pleasant chap and very polite. There is a shop in the hotel that does sweets, crisps etc. also sells inflatables and flip flops. Bottles of water can be purchased at the bar for €1 but there is a supermarket about two mins from the hotel that sells litre bottles for €1. We have another 3 days left yet and it’s been a lovely holiday so far. Little gem of a place ?

The SBH Costa Calma Beach Resort is a 4-star rated modern complex, active and with a lot of space. If you do not want to care about food an drinks, sorts and entertainment: selct our "all inclusive" program. Beach, sunshine and our excellent service brings you your well-deserved recreation.
SBH Costa Calma Beach Resort is a perfect location. Is something wrong in your room? A positive reaction is immediately taken. The food is good, everything (room, corridors, restaurant) is clean. The staff is friendly Suggestions: Play background music in the restaurant WiFi in the room is too too too expensive (€ 7,- per dag!!!. Outsite the resort, in the front, it needs very hard to clean (fallen trees, leaves and other mess)

We spend two weeks at the hotel. Hotel is really big and at first we spent 15 minutes trying to find our room! :-) The room was clean and we regulary received new towels and sheets which we apprecieted. Staff was nice and helpful. Everybody greets you. Only negative is that at breakfasts, when we wanted coffee and dining room was full and waiters/waitresses were too busy cleaning tables and didnt ask us if we want coffee. So we had to go look for them and ask them directly. Food overall was really great. There were always a lot to choose from and almost never happened that something was gone completely. THIS is all true if you are not a vegetarian. If you are, you're gonna have a hard time finding something hot: your only choices are pasta or soup. If you stay longer than a week it's gonna frustrate you. From cold dishes you can always eat fruits, vegetables and different kinds of cheese. You are really limited. It's strange because in snack bar by the pool you can order many vegitarian dishes for price around 10 EURO. There are not many fun stuff to do around the hotel. We played many times Minigolf but the state of it is really poor and it deserves renovation and at least some sweeping (rocks are everywhere). If you want to use local public transport you have to walk 10-15 minutes to bus stop. Recommend to visit city called Morro Jable beacuse it has really nice long and clean beach. Water is freezing but you can get use to it pretty quickly. If you want to buy clean water or some food I recommend to go to Spar (bigger one - 200 m further from Bahia Center). It's cheeaper than in a hotel. But you will walk around 30 minutes.

The Hotel R2 Pajara Beach is located directly on the beach, on an impressive vantage point, from where you can enjoy a great view of the beaches of Sotavento. Its architecture in the "U" shape allows you to have, from almost every one of its comfortable rooms, a magnificent view of the glittering turquoise waters of Costa Calma. The hotel consists of 387 air-conditioned rooms, each equipped with a telephone, TV, fridge, bathroom with hairdryer and safe. With its modern facilities and services, this 4-star hotel offers a wide range of entertainment, swimming pools, gardens, sports facilities, spa and gym.
We are 2 nurses who have worked for 2 years through the pandemic and honestly looking forward to a weeks welcome break. So the hotel is beautifully placed but the hotel itself is very tired. Rooms are tired too. They are clean however and the domestics are very good and do the rooms daily replacing sheets and towels no complaints there. We have booked all inclusive, it is not all inclusive, there is extra charge for virtually everything you may like or want to do. You can have basic coffee but if you want a cappucino or anything else its extra charge. Very few alcoholic drinks included, all basics and the female bar staff in the pool bar often refuse to give you rum in your pina colada cocktail plainly saying no? Have had to remind them its inclusive? Then the comments in Spanish as you leave are unnecessary. Dont get confused with the advertised indoor outdoor pool. It is only outdoor. Indoor has a charge of 12 euro for an hour which is in the spa apparently a seperate concern to the hotel. We werent checked in properly when we arrived and info was not given properly. We should have been given a voucher for the spa but werent. Reception staff 50/50 in manners some lovely some really rude. Now the food is ok, good at times, theres a lot of choice but found the meat in sauces always gristly and catered more for the German palette. The restaurant staff work very hard but some leave a lot to be desired quite rude and unhelpful. Now heres a thing each meal time the doors to restaurant are locked until it opens and there is a genuine 'stampede' of elderley German people who without so much as a by your leave will knock you out of the way to get in first/get their table/get their food first!! So we wait to go for food and then find it difficult to get a table set for us to the point we have cleared our own tables after asking staff and getting told in a minute! Long minute, Im very patient. I ended up on one occasion taking tea cups off a reserved table as couldnt get any from staff only to then be 'accosted' by staff for doing so?! Not apologised to or even brought cups still. The hotel is catered towards the German national wich is ok but it does preclude any other nation. Staff responds to their needs and it appears no one elses. There was supposed to be a Spanish restaurant on site it is closed. Theres apparantly another restaurant too but we cant book in as no spaces all week? On to the gym. My goodness me, yes its included, it opens at 11am to 6pm and cannot be used outside these hours and neither can the pool. No one shows you around the equipment or monitors the gym. They should, the equipment is the oldest equipment Ive seen for a long time. I would guess at at least 30 years old. Its well used and a lot of it is broken, smashed, not working, stuck/seized up, no displays in working order. It is not fit for purpose. Entertainment! One band one evening, rock music they were good but no dancing allowed because of covid rules. Masks still worn everywhere and if you forget you are sharply reminded. All in all glad to be out of blighty for a bit but sadly not being treated well in this hotel and it leaves an awful lot to be desired. No one smiles, no one seems happy. Would not book it again. It is really disapointing on many levels and not worth the cost, or the extra costs.

Informal ambience in the accommodations with half board or all inclusive, relaxing entertainment and privileged location at Costa Calma, directly on the long white sand beach and only a few meters from the shopping center with various stores, restaurants, bars, banks, car rentals, drug stores etc. are some of the features that make SBH Taro Beach an ideal place to spend a pleasant vacation.
Stayed here in March, initially disappointed as the hotel we were booked into was closed. Had room overlooking the beach not the most modern hotel but very clean. Food was great I imagine some disappointment to the odd Brit who only enjoy chips and egg but we couldn’t fault any meal with plenty of choice. Drinks and snacks available all day. Guys in the bar at night are great fun and the entertainment guy is always busy with activities if that’s you’re thing, although the sound system needs some attention Our room was 2 mins to the beech which suited us. Nice by the pool but watch for the towel brigade and as the sun moved it’s like a game of Tetris with sun loungers. If you wonder out there a couple of bars 5 min walk, at the top of the road turn right down the hill and the roundabout turn left and straight over, friendly cheap quiet when we were there. Or out if the hotel turn left walk about 15 minds there’s a shopping complex a spar and a couple of bars. Beach is great for a morning run before breakfast roughy 3 k to the cliffs and back Would I go again, yes nothing to fall out about it’s a quiet resort looks like Covid has taken a toll on the resort but a great place just to get away for a week and enjoy some sun and relax
