Corsica is a laid-back French island, with a breezy vibe that’s part European weekend and part tropical honeymoon. The port city of Bastia flings its arms wide open to weary travelers disembarking from a long ferry trip. For a truly charming Corsican experience, catch a train through the mountains to the beach, passing by rustic villages and grazing cows along the way. Take a few hours or even a few weeks to explore the island’s famous walking trails, including the varsity-level GR 20.

We stayed just for one night. Our stay in the hotel was perfect. Staff very friendly. It is true there is no wi-fi in the rooms, but the quality of the rooms and the service compensate it. I certainly recommend!!

Hotel***, in 600m by foot of the center of Propriano, the hotel is implanted on the beach of Bartaccia and have a unique view on the gulf of Valinco
The location of this place is excellent, direct access to the beach and proximity to Propriano town are hard to beat. In addition, all rooms have direct access to the garden which provides privacy. Overall the place looks very unassuming, the rooms are comfortable but basic and the restaurant looks more like a cafeteria. However despite the low-key look of the restaurant, the food quality is very good. The staff is friendly and helpful.

I stayed there 5 nights with my wife and my daugther. The place is very clean, modern and has a very nice design. I had the view on the sea and I have to say that the heated swimming pool is clearly a plus, especially when you are travelling in October. Owners are very nice and helpful. The beach is very close to the casarina village and it is very easy to walk there. I really enjoyed the place.

We have recently stayed at Les Pavillons Du Belvedere and couldn’t recommend more highly. Extremely friendly and helpful owner who couldn’t do enough to make sure we felt welcome. Extremely clean accommodation and very adequate facilities available. We visited with 2 young children and they loved it... especially the small park. I would definitely return.

Located on the heights of Porto-Vecchio, 11 km from the city center, in the Regional Park of The Alta Rocca, enjoy the quiet and freshness of staying in the Maquis Corsica. The onsite accommodations are offered air-conditioned bungalows and non air-conditioned hotel rooms with air conditioning, for a holiday with family or friends in the south of Corsica. Get on site, a swimming pool, a bar, a restaurant with his family and traditional kitchen, free wifi (Common), usability of a game of petanque or table tennis and walks or bike rides in the Corsican maquis. Since the Property 'Bungalows du Maquis', you can easily explore the surroundings of Porto Vecchio and the region south of the Far rich and diverse: the Massif de l'Ospedale, the Bavella Needles, Bonifacio , the Alta Rocca but also enjoy the most beautiful beaches of southern Corsica.
Before embarking on the Mare a Mare Sud trail across southern Corsica, my husband and I stayed at the charming Bungalows du Maquis. What a pleasant surprise was in store for us! The room was quiet, clean, and spacious with a comfortable bed, making for a restful night. The hotel itself is located way up on a hill (a mountain really) overlooking the town of Porto Vecchio out to the sea. All sides are surrounded by the fragrant maquis and you can enjoy this atmosphere from their lovely little pool. Although we didn't have time to take a dip in the pool, we did opt for demi-pension, affording us a lovely dinner in their restaurant. I am a pescatarian and they prepared a whole fish as the main course which was one of the most delectable meals on our entire trip. Overall, this is a great place to stay if you want a tranquil atmosphere, a great view, and excellent food and service! Thank you Bungalow du Maquis!!!

Motel Aria Marina offers an ideal green relaxing setting for your stay for holidays in Corsica, close to Propriano in the famous Valinco gulf. Motel ARIA MARINA is a resort offering 23 fully equipped apartments for 2 to 6 persons with balcony and garden furniture with views even on the Mediterranean sea or on Corsica's inland. The residence is recently fully renovated and offers modern luxury apartments. NEWS for 2014 6 brand new suites with panoramic sea view . Free internet access available all over the entire residence (reception, swimming pool and apartments).
This is a great little place. It's situated 2km from the town up the hill so the views over the bay from all apartments is superb. We stayed in one of the new, modern one bed apartments which was very well furnished and equipped and included a small full kitchen. We especially liked the huge walk in shower and big terrace with both dining table and chairs and wicker sofas. The small complex has two swimming pools, a terrace where I believe you can order breakfast if you wish, and a laundry room with coin operated washers, dryer and iron/ironing board. Everywhere was very clean and tidy and it was a bonus for us that the reception staff spoke good English. In terms of location there is a big supermarket just a 5 minute walk away, along with a few other shops and a brasserie. It is possible to walk into town if you dont mind a fairly busy road and the uphill return. It takes about 30 mins each way. However, it is usually easy to find a street parking space in the evening for an easier drive down. Propriano itself is an OK harbour town with a number of mediocre restaurants but nothing special. The area around it, however, is beautiful with a spectacular coastline, some gorgeous beaches and good hiking options. You definitely need a car to explore. We would definitely stay at the Aria Marina again as it is high quality for a 3 star and offers a lot more space and catering independence for the money than a comparable hotel. We did notice, nevertheless, that some apartments were considerably older than where we were situated and looked, on the outside, more dated, so I would want to confirm the accommodation.

Residence CorsicaResidence Terra Marina Sardinia & the sea, Mini-villas from F2 to F4, at 5min from the beaches.
We adored Terra Marina. Ideally situated near breathtaking walks and beaches, with splendid views, very clean and bright accommodation, friendly and welcoming staff. Sperone golf only 10 minutes by car. We will definitely return.

I booked to stay here with my elderly father and 10 year old daughter. It was a last minute booking . Upon arrival the lady at reception very kindly switched our house to one more suitable for my father who cannot walk far. We were also offered assistance to the pool by a very friendly man (I’m so sorry I didn’t ask for your name but you were very kind!) The résidence was so sweet & charming , the pool was lovely and clean . The house was perfect to accommodate us . I did read complaints about the bathroom.. it was small and a little camping car style but it didn’t bother us because there were so many other positives. I didn’t mind cleaning up the house after our stay either, leaving it in the same condition we found it seemed very fair to me . The value for money was also reasonable considering every else I checked last minute in Bonifacio was double the price. Thank you once again and to anyone planing on booking I hope you have a lovely time !

We struck unseasonably cold weather while staying here for a 5 day break in Corsica, so we didn't get to make the most of the village and facilities on offer. But in my opinion, everything is here or nearby and it's a superb place to stay. The pool looks fab with plenty of loungers around it and the beach is right in front of the on-site restaurant with thatched umbrellas and seating areas. It all looks very tropical and inviting (when the sun it out!). We didn't eat in the restaurant but they had good reviews and the prices were very reasonable. A cool beverage at the end of the day overlooking the beach would be extremely relaxing here! Laundry facilities (wash and dry approx 10euros) are available. Plenty of space for carparking and safe. Our apartment was perfect for a couple - comfy bed, hot shower, plenty of TV channels to choose from (not that you would need that in the Summer!). Kitchen is basic with microwave and two elements. No toaster, griller or oven facilities FYI. The wifi was patchy and almost non-existent with the doors and windows closed. But like I said, it was cold while we were there so on a sunny warm day/evening with doors and windows open the wifi connection would be fine. Location was great for us - quiet and away from the hustle and bustle, but a SPAR supermarket and other facilities 5mins away. Bonifacio is 2hrs 15mins by car and a nice drive down the coast. Some great spots nearby - a 90min one way reasonably challenging hike up into the hills to see an abandoned village, waterfalls and the Henri Toivonen memorial was a 60min drive (on some very wiggly waggly roads) for retro rally enthusiasts. Finally, our host was excellent. He supplied us with a radiator heater since it was cold and told us where to find shops, what to do in Bonifacio, where to go for the walks and drives. He was really fantastic and spoke excellent English so communication was easy. Would definitely stay here again.
