Hester’s menu has great variety, including unique salads, sandwiches and even quiches. Hester (the person who the store is named for) herself makes almost all the desserts fresh with the only exception (that I know of) being the apple pie that is made with more apples than anything you’ve seen before. It’s all very delicious and the atmosphere is very nice as well. I have eaten here many times with my family as well as clients and will continue to do so.

We followed reviews here to Andy's for breakfast. Bring an empty stomach and you will fill it. Great service, coffee always full, but not overbearing. Lots of menu options for breakfast, probably more than I've seen anywhere else. Lots of traditional options then Tex-Mex as well. We'll be back.

Located in Country Village Shopping Center
This doesn't look like much on the outside as it is located in an older strip mall and there is a simple sign above one of the doorways that states Authentic New York Pizza. They have pizza and more. I ordered the lasagna. I am not an Italian food lover by any means but this was the best lasagna I've ever eaten. Hands down. The sauce was rich and had a sweet tomatoey flavor. There were not any large chunks of vegetables in it at all, so it had obviously been slow simmered for hours and it tasted like it had been simmered for hours. It was the best sauce ever. I ordered meatball with it and it was also delicious. I don't quite understand the giant meatball trend in the USA these days, and this was a single giant meatball, but it was quite tasty nonetheless. I usually prefer smaller bite sized meatballs and prefer them to be browned and develop a thin outer crust of brownness on them and while this wasn't either, it was still delicious and I would definitely order it again. This did not come with any sides, it was simply lasagna in a dish, but the serving was plentiful and I did not come away hungry so I didn't mind that this did not come with breadsticks or a big bowl of salad like the big Italian chains do. It was mid priced for my meal at $17 after tax and tip for a single serving of lasagna, a meatball, and a fountain drink, but it was delicious and quite memorable so it feels worth it. They did have lunch specials but I was feeling a lasagna craving today. The place is much larger inside than it appears and has room for quite a few large parties. There was a group at the other side of the dining room that was having a business meeting and this was a great place for that. There was plenty of space and there are two separate dining areas along with friendly waitstaff. The gentleman at the front that was greeting people is obviously the owner. He is very friendly and not only seated me at my table but came over to check on my meal later and then thanked me for coming in when I left. He had a definite New York area accent to this Texan's ears. I have a definite southern accent, it's all good. This is a humble little place in the middle of a nondescript older strip and it is certainly a gem in the rocks. I won't drive by this one again as I did so many times before, it's worth the stop. YUM!

Wonderful service and atmosphere with a breath taking view of the downtown area and water front - we enjoyed watching the boats. We were there to celebrate our anniversary and could not have been better served. The food was outstanding - I highly recommend the hash browns for a 'side' - and cooked to our taste. The manager paid us a visit during our meal which was not rushed but timed just right. Wife had lobster, with shrimp and was well pleased. I had the rib eye steak and it was wonderful.
This is a special restaurant and not for those looking for cheap eats but is great for a celebration because we were unrushed and very well served.

The food here is awesome. I recently got the wise guy sub while my husband got the beast from the east. Both subs were delicious and a cannoli for dessert was perfect! And the family that runs the business is very welcoming, making the atmosphere one you want to stick around in.

Frog legs and Catfish are the best. Always come here when we come to Corpus Christi. Service was excellent and prices are reasonable.

Ok- I think Rudy's is expensive for what you get. Interesting decor, fun atmosphere, nice people. We have tried it several times just to be sure. This last time, it seemed really expensive for lunch- one brisket plate with beans (blah), one brisket sandwich with potato salad and two medium drinks. Over $25.00. Expensive in my mind for what we got. I feel like tow people should be able to do lunch for less than $20 when there is not tip in the mix. There are other placed is Corpus where the meat is equally good and the sides are better. Just me.....

While staying on base we chatted with fellow RV’ers and asked for recommendations. One was Black Diamond and we weren’t disappointed! We sat at the outside bar on a Saturday evening and were treated to music and a relaxed atmosphere. Our bartender/server, Aimy, was fabulous; she was friendly, attentive and knowledgeable about the food. We had Oysters New Orleans (a special), jalapeño crab balls, ago tuna and queso shrimp dip. All were amazing; flavorful and well presented...we will be back!

Have visited several times.
Will return soon.
Been dieting and avoiding fried foods, don’t care for fish baked or steamed so I have not been lately.
All food is good but the biggest treat is the unending chips served. They are really something!
You got to try!
