Corfu is studded with whitewashed houses, Byzantine churches, and the remains of Venetian fortresses and Greek temples. Wander the ancient streets of the Roman village of Kassiopi or explore the central Esplanade of the eponymous Corfu Town. For a DIY spa experience, lather yourself in mineral mud on the shore of the Canal D’Amour. Legend has it that the waterfalls of Nymphes used to attract the mythological beauties of the same name, who would flock to the village to bathe in the pristine waters.

We stayed for 11 nights on the ultra all inclusive package and had a wonderful experience, the hotel is gorgeous and the staff are exceptional. All of them are so pleasant, friendly, efficient; Lucia on reception was particularly helpful. My hotel app wasn’t working so she helped us book all the hotel excursions with such patience, she’s a dream. Alexos who helped us with our luggage was suoer, Cedric up at the Aquapark.pool bar is an absolute ray of sunshine, and Veny at the Asian Restaurant, again what a joy, nothing too much trouble, they are all amazing. Food is fabulous, a little slow on sone of the restaurants but we weren’t in a hurry so it was never a problem. The hotel grounds are immaculate, glorious colours and yellow butterflies everywhere. We spent most of the time by the beach where we did paddle boarding, kayaking and pedalos which were all courtesy of the hotel, Also up at the Aquapark which gets busy but it’s fun and has a lovely infinity pool. If you go, try and book the hotel boat to Corfu town and the sunset cruise which are really worth doing but you have to book as soon as you get there as they get full really quickly. My son tried the kids club and although the team were fantastic with him he felt that 11 he was too old and the kids were a lot younger, but there were plenty of things to keep him occupied around the hotel and water sports etc. We didn’t travel with Jet2 holidays however we found their rep Sophie to be far more accessible and informative than ours, she really gave us some great information during our stay, Jet2 should value her! One more thing, all the public areas smell gorgeous, it’s the hotel’s signature scent which you can buy as a room spray or in candle form from the hotel shop, it smells divine! We will definitely return to this gem of a hotel in a gorgeous location.

We've just had 2 weeks all inclusive. Overall the hotel is really very good and the staff are exceptional. The room was spectacular and the views to die for. Thanks to Aneta for keeping it spotless. The food was very good. The choice in the Buffet restaurant was first class and the service also. Many thanks to Maria, Georgia and all the staff who work so hard. Special thanks to "Gus" the Restaurant Manager who was superb. Special mentions to the Poolside bar staff, Eva and particularly "Harry" who looked after us for the duration.Excellent! A really nice young man. All the staff were very good from the towel man to the pool cleaners. One disappointment regarding the pool area is the toilets, they really need a makeover as we felt they where a bit "Grotty". Apart from that we would definitely go back when the travel industry get off their arse's and give us value for money and not the horrendous conditions we have to put up with at present.

We stayed for 6 nights which we was very pleased with our stay. Staff pick you up in buggies and take you from reception to room and room to pool. Nothing is too much for the staff there. The pools although they were shallow they were all lovely and clean , and the adults only part of the resort was always very chilled and empty. Which made our stay even more enjoyable

Beautiful location. Hotel amenities good. A La carte restaurants absolutely amazing. Feel the buffet could be better however most visits the service was good. Tough walk to the beach but very worth it. Can request a car to get you back up the hill. Would be nice to have music down there. The beach came alive during the music for the water aerobics… changed the whole atmosphere Got a great room upgrade - very thankful. Think the hotel need to review their policy on late checkout! Would also just highlight that the taxi boat the hotel use to take clients to Corfu town ( it’s a cost to you - not free) is not the best and I believe it could be a major risk if there was ever an incident. Too many people on one boat… 16 people!! … people sat on floor… not acceptable.!! Would advise to pay a little more and get a private boat.

An all-inclusive resort that combines nature, culture, activities and a beach holiday all in one place. With its elevated position,it offers great views over the Ionian Sea, "value for money" accommodation in double or family rooms and a vast choice of food and beverage options. Its proximity to Corfu Old Town (UNESCO World Heritage Site) and Princess Sissi's Achillion Palace makes the resort an ideal base for exploring the island.
Thank you Christos for the best massage I have had (and I have had many). I have muscular problems due to a health condition and I was in a lot of pain with my shoulder- but not now. I can now enjoy my holiday. The massage was also wonderfully relaxing and very enjoyable. Booked in again just to enjoy the experience and keep that shoulder pain free!

We (family of 4, 2 adults and 2 children age 9 and 6) stayed here for 10 nights at the end of May into June, during the UK school half term holiday. The hotel has a lovely setting, directly on the beach. Our room was directly to the side of the reception area, across from the shop, so had a good location for quick access to all amenities. The room was a lot smaller than we had anticipated and the wardrobe / storage space for a family of 4 is a problem - there just isnt enough and no storage space upstairs in the maisonette accommodation. I would suggest taking coat hangers as there were only 5 in the wardrobe and we stored multiple items on 1 hanger. We arrived mid afternoon and were disappointed by the 'snackline' which consists of 2 choices of cake, 2 or 3 choice of biscuits and a few different small sandwiches, together with juice. The exact same choice is provided daily at the 'snackline'. We would have expected different choices for a 5* albeit note that Jet2 etc promote this as a 4* which is closer to reality. The resort is heavily dominated by French guests with an average age of 65. The entertainment was all in French and there wasnt any interest from the female French reps to engage with anyone who wasn't French. The male French reps did make some effort with the English children. The French sat around in large circles in the evening, dominating the bar space. We found this behaviour incredibly rude and divisive and this needs to be addressed. The French wear a red band to show that they are part of the 'clan'. No other nationalities wear this band. The behaviour was bizarre,we described it as cult-like. On the first evening, we took our children to the 'theater' where the French reps stand at the door. One rep said "this is all in French". That was our cue for, 'you're not welcome'. I can speak French at an average conversational level; this they had not considered and therefore I could understand some of what was being said. We did speak with the Jet2 rep at the hotel, who was lovely and was going to look into whether the French have a different contractual arrangement with the hotel that Jet2 etc donot have and commented that this would be a problem to the company if that we're the case. The entertainment was pretty poor, definitely not 5* standard. There were a couple of evenings where there were some Greek dancers and a very good singer but there were no shows and sometimes the entertainment was literally background music and nothing else. Notably there was an entertainment schedule/ board for the French and a separate one for everyone else. There was no evening entertainment listed on the board for other nationalities, however I could understand the detail on the French board, however this sent a strong message that the entertainment was for the French and noone else. This is divisive on many levels. The food in the restaurant was hit or miss. We were excited to be enjoying Greek cuisine whilst away; koftas etc etc but this was not the case. Expect rabbit and pork on a daily basis, recycled food i.e. pork surprise with a different sauce poured on top! We saw koftas and moussaka etc once or twice during our stay. The food is not 5* standard and probably 3* at best, needing immediate attention from the chef and team. We did complain and we aren't complaining types. We decided that on the 3rd night of seeing fish fingers at the kids station, rabbit again and our son coming back from the breakfast bar with a plate of sprouts, enough was enough. Fish fingers are at the kids station every night (our son now refuses to eat them due to fish finger overface) and the kids food station is never open at lunch time. If you're lucky, you might see a few chicken nuggets come out to the kids station. We asked where the pizza's, burgers, plain chicken breasts etc were, these have to be paid for in the payable a la carte on site. We didn't know that we weren't going to be able to eat at these other restaurants unless we paid a charge. We were told by management that we could name what we wanted and they would cook it with 20 minutes notice, which was very good of them. Our boys therefore had a plain chicken breast a couple of nights. We spent a lot of money (over £4k) on this holiday and expected much more from the food here. We went to the quiet pool one day and stayed 30 minutes. The residents around the pool (average age of 65/70 years) appeared like meerkats staring at us as our children were having fun in the pool. I asked my children to keep the noise down and thought what on earth am I doing, we're on holiday, they can have fun. We left and returned to the main pool. The slides are only open 4 hours per day which again we weren't expecting. Please just open the slides all day. Children are on holiday and want to have fun. The beach is lovely but there is a lot of seaweed to wade through. Staff do try and clear it but it's impossible, there's just so much. I'd suggest taking beach / sea shoes. We used the pedalo, payable at the kiosk on the beach, this was fun for us all. We visited the Life Bar next door a couple of times, this was a lovely bar and Taz the owner is lovely. We would highly recommend you visit. There's free pool and WiFi available and great music. We went out to Kavos to eat one evening but returned to the hotel soon after eating. You'll appreciate the hotel on return. Kavos is very run down. The staff are all really lovely at the resort. It's a lovely setting, incredibly clean and tidy but requires some attention to the points I've shared here. I really hope this is helpful. I don't want to deter anyone from visiting but just share honest reflections so that expectations are managed. Not many visitors seem to share posts on here and I was checking this website daily for a month before we travelled. Had our expectations been managed, it may have helped a little. The staff did share with my husband that the balance in the summer is 50:50 French:English in August, whereas 80% of guests were French whilst we were there, 10% English and 10% German and other nationalities.

Having visited the Roda Beach Hotel and Spa many years ago, we were delighted to find that the hotel was even better than we had remembered. The hotel catered for all ages and had a wonderful variety of entertainments and facilities. Our room was spacious and was cleaned on a daily basis. The dining areas were all very well taken care of, with a vast variety of foods available for all tastes. The staff in all areas of the hotel were friendly, helpful and did everything they could to make our stay a very memorable one. Would highly recommend.

This lovely hotel is a hidden gem. It has a superb location on the cliff tops overlooking Canal D' Amour and has fabulous sea views. Great outdoor pool, plenty sun loungers and umbrellas. Two bars with happy staff. Buffet restaurant serves plentiful choice of local and Mediterranean dishes, tasty and healthy savoury and fruit salads. Hotel and grounds kept in good condition and well maintained gardens with colourful plants in bloom. We chose a swim up room and it was fabulous, spotlessly clean. All the staff were very welcoming and helpful, nothing was too much trouble and everyone was made to feel special, like family.. We very much look forward to a return visit.

In a magical location, upon one of the best beaches of Corfu, Kontogialos Beach, the journey of your dreams is illuminated by the famous Greek sun and has the smell of the sea breeze. Luxurious comfort, top services and exclusive facilities compose a complete hospitality experience for every member of the family, in Mayor Pelekas Monastery. Our hotel consists of 189 rooms, most of which have a panoramic view of the Ionian Sea and the majestic sunset of Corfu.
Extremely disappointed with this hotel It’s basically a glorified prison by the sea On the first night we got checked into a room that was a dirty little hole at the back of the hotel, it was worse than a dogs kennel, paint crumbling from the walls and the smell of drains. The noise of the car park with staff leaving after 1am, the constant slam of doors all hours, and selfish people shouting down the corridors keeping everyone awake. We asked to be moved which took over 2 days. Eventually after we kept on asking we got moved to what I thought was a better room. Larger and overlooking the sea. However after day 3 in this room I realised it was just the same - Terribly noisy with doors banging, furniture being dragged across the floor all hours, consistent stinky drain smell Evening entertainment which is usually fronted by the most annoying women you could imagine with a ridiculous booming voice that I can only describe sounds like the crazy frog! The entertainment goes on for hours late into the evening keeping everyone up even if they want to sleep, the speakers are almost shaking the windows of the rooms Maids rudely waking you up early in the morning ready to clean the rooms around 7am, Shouting and banging The food is basically the same every day Some small changes to it The vibe is depressing, everyone has disappointed looks on their faces. Which is no surprise considering the amount of money they have parted with to stay there and then realising the reality. Also The majority of staff have an attitude problem On the last day it rained heavily, I asked for an extra hour In the room so we could avoid the rain, and was told rudely no on the phoned and to come down at 11am So in summary - Please Do not stay here, it’s not worth the money and you will be unable to relax, you will start counting down the days to when you’re leaving from day 1, poor hotel indeed
