We had stayed at the Casa de Balea a few years ago and loved it then. We decided to stay there again overnight whilst walking the Camino with some friends. We had a wonderful welcome from Rocio. The rooms were all clean and comfortable, individually designed and interesting. The bathrooms were modern and efficient. Rocio recommended a restaurant to us and booked a table. The B&B is only a short walk from the centre of the village. We paid extra for a beautiful breakfast, which Rocio prepared for us, with freshly-squeezed juice, croissants, toast, fresh fruit and yoghurt, hot drinks, followed by Santiago cake! All in all, our stay was really good value and very enjoyable.

Welcome to Hotel Praia de Quenxe. The perfect base for a visit to the "Costa de la Muerte" (Coast of the Dead), a land of myths and legends, sea and cliffs, stones with names and shrines, pilgrimages and cuisine, the place where the end of the known world has a name : Finisterre (fisterra). In our facilities you will find innovation, professionalism, dedication, delivery and enthusiasm at work.
This hidden gen has beautiful big open plan rooms with huge glass slide doors going out to the patio that has a breath taking view. When you ask reception transport can be called for you, but right infront of the hotel you have a walkway all along the cost line leading to Cee. you can even use their bicycles when available.

The apartments are located in Corcubion, in the quiet residential area of Quenxe, 100 meters far from the beach. The center of the town of Corcubion, declared a historic-artistic ensemble in 1985, is a 5 minute walk from the apartments along a pleasant promenade. The well-known Cape of Finisterre is 12 kms far and Santiago de Compostela and A Coruna are 85 km and 96 km respectively. The area is perfect for a holiday break, and we will have the possibility of a great number of visits to less than 1 hour away from Corcubion. Apartments with 2 double rooms (one with double bed and the other one with twin beds), kitchen-living room with sofa bed and bathroom. Apartments with 3 double rooms, living room with sofa bed, kitchen and two bathrooms. Fully equipped with linens, towels, cutlery, crockery, kitchenware, oven, ceramic hob washing machine, LCD TV, heating and free cots (on request). Good News 700 yards away from Corcubion beach, a short walking distance from the Harbour, the apartments have two bedrooms, one bathroom and a open plan kitchen diner also has off road parking in the basement and has a view of the sea. Start of problems We arrived at the apartment at 4pm as per instructions, when we arrived the letting agent wasn't there! after waiting another 15 minutes we called Bookings.com they contacted the agent and was told that the agent is 5 minutes away,20 minutes later the agent arrived, I tried to discuss the reasons he was late but he just replied "I JUST WORK HERE" . I must advise you that the agent did not speak any English so if you have any difficulties with the apartment ask for Martin hes the manager at the letting agency he speaks English. These apartments are mainly let to the Spanish and as we all know there day starts after 9pm so don,t expect to sleep to long before your awaken at 1am by family's returning from dinner,we were awoken more than once after 2am. The apartment is described as 4-6 people and it can sleep that many with the sofa bed but practically due to the layout you are looking at a comfortable 4 people not 6. Cleaning and Bedrooms The Towels in the apartment were terrible, they seemed very old and tatty with stains, the bed lining had been cleaned but yet again had seen better days and was not sufficient for the job,the pillow covers where cleaned but the pillows weren't, we was lucky as my parents live a few miles away so we managed to raid her house for towels and sheets!!! Kitchen/Diner The kitchen has no kettle or toaster but that's okay because there was no sockets on the kitchen tops to plug them in if you had them????there is also a mismatch of old crockery that needed a good clean, the gas hob was dangerous as the hob knobs were loose so we only used one of the rings to boil our water for tea we did not cook anything in this kitchen!!!! Every time we used the hot water the boiler would fire up and we would smell gas in the apartment so we left the windows open while we was in the apartment, I don't know when it was last tested as there was no test markers to be seen. Yard At the back of the property there is a yard [pictures attached on review] it was over grown so of cause attracted Mosquito's my family and I were bitten during our sleep. Due to the nature of Corcubion and Cee my family and I enjoyed our holiday its a shame that the agents of the apartments do not realise the importance of cleaning and final detail to insure there guests have a pleasant stay, so insuring a return visit, my family and I will not be staying at these apartments again!!!!
