Corbin is a home rule-class city in Whitley and Knox counties in the southeastern portion of the U.S. state of Kentucky. The urbanized area around Corbin extends into Laurel County; this area is not incorporated into the city limits due to a state law prohibiting cities from being in more than two counties. However, this area is served by some of the city's public services. As of the 2010 census, the city population was 7,304, with 21,132 living in the "urban cluster" that includes Corbin and North Corbin.

We are a specialty coffeeshop that serves Counter Culture Coffee, house-baked pastries, a large selection of teas as well as a small but delicious menu served all day. Come have a coffee with us!
See title. Lattes are amazing. Actually crave them. But the staff is either too busy talking to their friends, preening in a mirror, or discussing the socio economics of Uruguay to be interested in actually put some effort into waiting on you. Seems typical sometimes for a coffee shop but can be annoying sometimes as well.

We stopped in for lunch and got the $5.00 deal 1/4 pound burger/fries/drink & sundae. Thats a deal for $5.00 but the burger was over cooked and dry even with the condiments on it,fries was ok. But for the price cant expect much.

In 1968, we were just a local BBQ joint in Gainesville, Florida. Today, we're still a local BBQ joint. We just happen to be in a few more locations. But we still do things the same way Floyd "Sonny" Tillman and his wife, Lucille, did back then. We still slow-smoke over oak for up to 12 hours at a time. We still serve generous portions. And we still believe people should be able to go out to eat and feel right at home.
We usually hit up Sonny's BBQ in Florida and have always found their portions to be big and delicious but this time we ordered the ribs and sides and the ribs were not so great in the sense that they tasted greasy and not much on the plate. I think there was maybe 5 or 6 ribs on the plate. It just wasn't how we remembered it. I guess everywhere is cutting back but even the menu had changed so much that it was disappointing.
Last time I was there was about a year ago in Florida.
Even the corn bread was not very tasty.... and that's one of my favs usually.

This is the location where Col Sanders came up with his original KFC recipe way back then.
The food is pretty much the same standard quality you get all across the country.
The look and ambiance of this KFC is unique compared to the franchise models. There is a reproduction of his original kitchen and equipment, the motel room model he used for preview of his attached motel. Nice memorabilia items displayed in cases.

I will not recommend this Cracker Barrel to anyone. Eggs and sausage was terrible as well as the gravy. I don’t know if someone tried to customize their instant gravy but it was absolutely terrible. I would prefer gravy out of a can this this. I would not even feed it to my dogs.

The hot dogs with chili are my favorite. Orders of fries and onion rings are enough for two people to share. Food is hot and the root beer is delicious. Early in season (April) there can be a long wait.

We love to find non-fast food and get away from the oh-so chain restaurants during our travels. Today was another great experience at Basil's Italian restaurant in downtown Corbin Ky. We needed a lift after a long travel day and a great pizza, good cold beer and of course dessert like a cherry cannol certainly did the trick. Chef Richard and his son came out to greet us, share some fun and just a great evening. Loved it's!
Thanks, Pete n Lois

Everyone raves about the garlic knots. I tried them and they are good. I'm not sure they deserve the credit they get, but they are good. I would consider them very "bready" and covered in oily garlic goodness. Yes, they are kind of messy, so I decided to use a fork to try and cut one in to two pieces. Since it is a lot of bread, you might need a knife to cut them up. Much more manageable this way.
I went for a water for my drink so I can't speak about the liquid side of things. I can tell you they have a "fully stocked bar" according to our waitress.
We went for the Pomodora pizza which was surprisingly tasty without tomato sauce. The waitress explained that we got the last of the fresh basil. This was a little surprising since we were the second set of people in the door when they opened (Sunday before church crowd). So everyone after us, either got no basil or they had to go buy more. How in the world do you run out of ingredient after serving two sets of people?
I may have missed it, but I didn't see an option to order a partial or slice of pizza on the menu. Instead, just whole pizzas. My wife and I ate half and took the rest home.
Given all these oddities, I would still go back and have pizza at this establishment in the future. It was good and different. The staff were pleasant and the store was clean. The turn off to get to the restaurant is tricky, but there is a sign if you are observant.
