We provide great choices for everyone with our huge menu of over 90 items of American favorites or Italian Specialties, plus more than 4 dozen of them can be made gluten-free. The American menu items are mostly classics from the heartland such as Chicken Pot Pie, Beef Stroganoff, Meatloaf, Jambalaya and sandwiches headlined by a great custom-ground fresh Hamburger made with 3 cuts of Iowa beef for great flavor and juiciness. The Italian Specialties include such tasty creations as Baked Ziti with Chicken and Shrimp, Lobster with Black Fettucine, Chicken and Spinach Ravioli, Chicken Balsamico, Baked Salmon, and Bruschetta, as well as several Panini's. We also have 10 Big Specialty Salads, many appetizer choices, homemade cupcakes and delectable desserts. We offer a full line of beers and wines, as well as a full bar. You can choose to sit in the room with tv's and a dining room without, as well as out on the patio. Thanks for visiting!
I ordered some carry out food one night while in town for a conference. I was vexed that they did not seem to have any prepared garlic bread, or mozzarella bread. I was given a very very small piece of a baguette with some kind of butter stuff to put on the singular bite of bread when I got back to my room. I was left wanting and unimpressed by the food I did order. Not bad, but not really good either. Fair may be a better description.

We only get to eat here once a year on our drive to ski. Always look forward to this meal. The soups and sandwiches are prepared to order and never disappoint. Wish they were closer to home so I could eat here more often

30hop is a great place for family friends business and the atmosphere is conducive for all of those environments. The food selection is quite eclectic. That's something for everybody. In my opinion it's a little too fancy for my taste but I do enjoy the plain old hamburger they offer. The beer selection is quite extensive and the rooftop patio is ideal when summer rolls around. I would highly recommend for anybody to patronize this establishment

Owners and friends Naftaly Stramer and Ofer Sivan created Oasis the Falafel Joint in the summer of 2004. After meeting for lunch in downtown Iowa City the duo lamented that (at the time) falafel was nowhere to be found, and vowed to right this wrong. Naftaly had just left the tech industry and Ofer had just completed his degree in engineering – an unlikely starting place for what would become the world’s best hummus, falafel and fries.
I eat here often and am always happy with the taste delights and the terrific service. Today, the chicken skewer was perfectly cooked and hot out the the oven. The tabouli was fresh and bursting with flavor, with lots of parsley. The greek salad was also fresh and love the cheese and olives and the dressing is perfect. It's my go-to lunch nearly once a week. Excellent food for a reasonable price.

We really like this restaurant-great food, great service and awesome view of the Iowa River-this is as close as you get to “ocean view” dining miss of the country!
The Sunday buffet brunch is excellent-salad, meat, and the dessert table-good quality food arranged tastefully!
I recommend it strongly!

We value three things: Service - There is nothing more important to us than delivering a positive and memorable experience. Community - Our team is comprised of proud Iowan's with deep passion and love for historic downtown Iowa City. Quality - Striving for excellence in all that we do.
Very simply, the Pullman serves excellent food. Every item I've ordered, and every item I've swiped a bit of from a friend's plate, has been superb. The bar's drink menu is also quite good -- lots of options, something to go with every meal. Whenever I've visited, the service has been great, and I enjoy the ambiance of the place. It's become a new go-to for me whenever I'm back home for a visit.

Hadn't been to Cheddar's in a while, and it was before the heaviest part of dinner time. Arrived about 5:30 and were greeted by a friendly host duo. Took us to our seat which was a booth in the bar area.
Server came over right away, greeted us and offered us to take our drink order. She came back quickly with them and took our dining order. She was pleasant and attentive which is great. Food came out correctly and fresh.
The restaurant was clean and we really had a nice experience there.
I'd recommend this place to any one.

We have visited the college twice and both times we ate at Basta. It was absolutely delicious both times. We had the calamari appetizer and my daughter ordered a chicken and proscuitto dish and I had the beet and steak salad. We told the waitress we were going to split them so we could each try both entrees. Upon delivery to our table, they pre-split both items for us which was a nice touch. Service and food were both excellent! We love it there and when in the area, will probably return once again!!

Stopped by olive garden for dinner and found this new, limited time offer for a Moscato sangria, a pitcher (good for 4 goublet size drinks) will set you back $24, but it is worth it!! Soo good!! and the meals are always excellent complete with soup or salad.

Other reviews on this site made Wig and Pen sound worth a try. It was all I expected and more. A bonus is the ample, free parking...downtown parking is a pain. I'm only here for two weeks and had planned to try a different restaurant every day but I'm already thinking about a return to this pub. The pizza was amazing. I love pizza and this was outstanding: "Flying Tomatoes" was a deep dish pizza and I chose the Union Jack which had everything I would normally order and a ridiculous abundance of creamy cheese. The cheese topping seemed to have more flavour than I'd expect from Mozzarella but whatever it was, it was perfect. I brought half of it home.
