We arrived at this restaurant, were warmly welcomed and ushered into a side room which was subsequently separated from a room further into the premises where the staff were busy with great preparations. We came to realise that there was a full-on wedding dinner being held. This in no way detracted from our dinner, rather it added an aspect of entertainment as we watched the guests arriving in their finery. Neither did it affect the service we received.
My husband declared his steak dish to be excellent; my ceviche was of mixed seafood instead of just the fish that I had ordered and although I had eaten the fish part of it, this mistake was remedied by a whole new ceviche arriving. Upon my saying that I would be unable to eat any more, it was promptly wrapped up for us to 'take-away'.
On our departure our delightful, attentive young waiter gave me a small box of chocolates. We left smiling widely.

Located behind one of the Petrobras gas stations, the location doesn't inspire much confidence. Decor is certainly somewhat truck-stop as well. The smoking section is the more attractive of the two dining zones, apart from containing people smoking!
The menu offers a reasonable choice - pizzas, churrascos, sandwiches, papas fritas etc., plus more substantial items such as lomo a lo pobre, pastas etc. There's even some slightly out-of-the-ordinary offerings such as a tabla de verduras and tortillas.
The pizzas are quite good (for Copiapo) and reasonably priced (for Copiapo). My partner says the papas fritas are also very good, but personally I find them a little too oily.
Service is generally quite efficient. The pebre can be quite picante!
Overall, it represents reasonable value for an uncomplicated lunch or dinner.

There’s a relative lack of places to get pizza in Copiapo, although the few that do exist are not too bad. Pizza Piero make a thin crust style that reminds me of the type you get in Italy, which isn’t surprising as the owners display their Italian heritage with the decorations on the wall.
The restaurant is not necessarily easy to find, being located at the back of a carpark. It’s fairly modern and clean, which is a reasonably good start in Copiapo! It has rarely had more than 2-3 other people there whenever we’ve visited in the past. Not sure if that is because we go at strange times? Anyway, no complaints about that!
Décor and ambience are fairly basic, with the obligatory Television! Given the lack of customers, service is reasonably efficient. The pizza choice is quite extensive, plus of course you can make your own with whatever toppings you choose. Nothing outside of pizza though…
We order a family size between three and it often seems like not quite enough, although in reality it probably is just OK, especially if you go and have an ice cream at the stand on the other side of the carpark afterwards.
The pizzas are certainly on the expensive side of things for what you get in terms of volume BUT they are flavoursome and good quality. Oregano and merquen are provided free of charge on the table for you to add some additional flavour if you require it.

Visited as a group of 13 on a night when the restaurant was remarkably full and they coped reasonably well. Our waiter was attentive and well versed in the contents of the menu, which comes as no huge surprise as it has remained unchanged for at least the last 12 months!
Fortunately there is no Television in the restaurant! The décor is reasonably pleasing, although several of our chairs featured large, prominent stains, which you don’t really expect in an allegedly 5 star hotel.
Only one of our choices was not available, which sets a new record in Copiapo. My mushroom risotto with gorgonzola was very tasty and the shared salad was good. My partner was not overly happy with her sorrentinos in a tomato sauce – they were either way undercooked, or they had spent a lot of time after being cooked on the warming shelf, as they were almost crispy. The tomato sauce also wasn’t overly flavoursome.
Dessert was the apple lasagne – tasty but, again, we’ve had it before on a number of occasions.
Wine selections were all available and very good.
So, in summary, if you haven't been before, you'll probably enjoy it. If you have been before, you know exactly what you'll be offered.

From the street, you would not expect much from this restaurant in Copiapo, but if you venture down the driveway to the parking lot that Caffellatte shares with Toros y Toreos, you will find Caffellatte. There is a enclosed area that is heated in winter and one of the liveliest spots I have found in Copiapo. The menu ranges from sandwiches to pizza to salad to more substantial meals. There is music courtesy of a video player that does everything from Hall & Oates to Rhinna. What I like about this place is that in winter, when there are few tourists in town, you can eat here and not be the only one in the place. The service is pretty good and the prices reasonable. If you want an American style pizza you need to ask them to put extra salsa on it. The portions are large and it is OK to share which can keep your costs down. I would definitely go back for another meal here.

Came here for a hearty Chilean dinner and that's exactly what we got! Although it's actually a restobar the food was delicious and very filling. The waitress was excellent and really made everything as excellent as possible.
The atmosphere in the restaurant was spot on; we ate in a lovely side room which had cushions and tables at floor level. Very highly recommended.

Nice place for eating the best sushi and unique Nikkei food in Copiapo.
Well done on a good variety of sushi and rolls. Loved the pulpo roll and the tempura rolls. Service nice and correct, but it took a while before we all had our food at the table. Taste and freshness of food was good !

Very nice restaurant with versatile menu. We ate couple of days in a raw there with a big group and enjoyed all dishes. Good dishes of fishes and meat as well. Recommended the Salmon, Congrio, Beef borganioin and great steaks. Good for families and big groups. Neighborhood a bit dodgy at night.
