I have to travel to Cookeville for work and I always like to try local places wherever I go. I checked TA and this place was #2 and for good reason....it's awesome! The sandwiches are very good as is their pizza. The guys working there are super nice and make you feel at home. I enjoyed it so much I brought the family as we were driving through Cookeville en route to our fall break destination. The family gave it 2 thumbs up as well. If you're ever in or passing through Cookeville, you gotta hit this spot, you won't be disappointed!

The food is great, we had the burgers and pretzel appetizer, the service was excellent and the look and feel of the restaurant is so nice, what a gem this place has become.

It is decently prized and the staff is polite. The frozen shrimp were good tasting and meaty, the French fries were a disaster, I think fried mash potatoes would have tasted better, coleslaw out of a can.... wine was closer to vinegar.... I wouldn’t be so harsh if their name was not so misleading....

Crawdaddy’s is the best restaurant with a fun atmosphere in Cookeville. There is always great food & amazing drinks. The bar is our favorite place to be on a Friday or Saturday night!

The restaurant, formerly a residence, was built in 1910. It features hardwood floors, 12' ft ceilings, and 5 fine dining rooms, three with fireplaces. We have a full selection of spirits and over 20 selections of wine. We also have a patio that seats 25 guests. We host weddings, rehearsal dinners, showers and parties. When you dine with us, we want you to have a dining experience rather than the typical restaurant that tries to turn tables as quickly as possible. We serve each course separately allowing you to relax, take in the ambiance, enjoy a glass of wine and savor every bite of Italian cuisine. When you leave our restaurant, we want you to remember what it's like to slow down, enjoy one another's company and realize how nice and relaxing dining can be. If you have other plans after dining with us, inform your server upon arrival and we can speed up your service. Dress is casual and reservations are recommended during the week and especially on the weekends.
Mauricio's website says they are only open Thursday & Friday for lunch. They are actually open for lunch Monday thru Friday. Which was perfect for us, as we were in Cookeville on a Monday!
We arrived shortly after 11 AM and were immediately seated in one of the 5 small intimate dining rooms. It had a fireplace, but it was not glowing, even though it was cold outside.
Our waitress Sami brought our Goodwood draft beer, as we looked at the menu. We both got a cup of Lobster Bisque ($5.00) each. Very thick & creamy, but wished the lobster meat had been larger chunks. We split a Calamari appetizer ($9.00) and an Italian Sausage & Pepper Sandwich ($8.00) Both were excellent!
We had the room to ourselves until the very end, so a very enjoyable meal!

Over the years while attending a weeklong conference I always made at least one trip to this restaurant. In the last 30days I visited Cookeville twice ordered the same menu item and the food actually got worse. The staff are polite and courteous, but the food has deteriorated to a place I just don’t want to visit anymore. I asked the manager if the place had changed management or chef and the manager said nothing had changed. I think Taco Bell might be a better choice. The manager did not charge me for the menu item, but I would not return despite his good faith gesture.

Steak night with our family. The appetizers came out very quickly and were very good. Our main course came out in a timely manner. We had issues with two of our entrees. The issues were handled in a timely and professional manner.

We serve Baja-California, deliciously fresh, food. We have healthy options. You get to choose what you want exactly the way you want it. ALL of our food is MSG FREE. We offer great GLUTEN-FREE options. In fact, everything (excluding our flour-based tortillas) is gluten free (corn tortillas and corn chips are made in same facility as flour-based tortillas so possibility of cross-contamination). We also cater, so please contact our catering manager for more information.
Awesome food! I got the burrito, and it was fantastic. The staff is very good and the line moves fast. Overall, it's a great atmosphere and I will return in the very near future.Thank you for sharing your experience and we look forward to seeing you again soon!

First time eating here and was shocked at the size of the omelet! Needless to say asked for a take home box. Had the vegetarian omelet and it was chucked full of well prepared veggies. This will definitely be a place to revisit whenever I am in Cookeville.

CH Steak Lounge is a newly rebranded, locally owned and operated Steakhouse on the square in downtown Cookeville, TN. Boasting the best steaks in the region as well as the best all around dining experience in town, CHAR has quickly become THE local hot spot for great food, cold drinks, and the best live music in town.
We were there for an open mic night and the collection of local artists was amazing and most of all a very relaxed environment. They have a lot to choose from in the way of food and beverages, with local brewery on tap. Was an overall great experience.
