Sweets on Main is a bake shoppe offering gourmet homemade desserts: cake, cupcakes, pies, tarts, macaron, cheesecakes, and more.
Excellent sweet treats. Really good coffee (I'm a total coffee snob). Engaging and happy staff. Nice feel in the space. Puzzled by the decision to not stay open during evening events in town, e.g., Jazz on the Green every Thursday during the summer; the recent First Night of the town's 375th anniversary year. One rationale among many for such events - which are simply wonderful in and of themselves - is to provide a boost for local businesses, a benefit of which many local enterprises take full advantage.
2nd time guests... cupcakes are very good - many flavors to choose from - oreo has full cookie in it, lemon, peanut butter lovers, almond joy, death by chocolate to name a few. daily changes in what is made - buy enough for everyone to have 2! their sandwiches and flatbread are scrumptious! in a strip mall with plenty of parking - local couple owned place! will go again and again... closed Sun-Mon...

The adventure in discovering magical flavors and the joy of celebrating with those you treasure. Reverie Kitchen is a small restaurant focused on the flawless execution of exceptional dining, baking and small batch gourmet chocolates.
The food was fine but the service was, if possible, worse . . .at one point there were 6 tables seated and no one . . . no one. . . had any food.

We were all very impressed with the high quality food we enjoyed at Strega, from our appetizers (burrata cheese with fresh cherry tomatoes; arancini) to our respective main courses (the Bufala pizza, margherita pizza, and ravioli). Everything is clearly fresh, hand-made (pasta included), and cooked the authentic Italian way. New Haven is chock-full of pizza places, including several famous spots (Frank Pepe's, Modern, Sally's) with much better than average pizza. However Strega has the pizza that most closely resembles an authentic Neapolitan pizza, with a light, airy, chewy crust and simple, fresh toppings. We will be back for sure.

Shoreline is a great place to grab breakfast, lunch or an informal dinner; home made food with a clean and friendly atmosphere, not your usual diner menu. The meals are generous and priced fairly, so much better than "fast food"! They also have a salad bar set up through mid-afternoon. You order at the counter and a waiter or waitress will bring the food to your table. Baked goods also available at the counter. My husband and I each ordered one of the special sandwiches for the day and we could only eat half, the rest went home for another meal. Both were delicious! It's probably the only "deli" I've been to where you don't pay for your food up front when dining in. The staff leave it up to you to go up to the counter and pay once you have finished your meal. As a result, it makes for a great atmosphere. If you're in downtown Branford and you're hungry, head to Shoreline Café. You won't be disappointed.

Our friends invited us for brunch here--our first time. It's a nice little spot I've driven past many times. Very unassuming from the outside. Inside is a take out counter and a small cafe area with informal tables and chairs. Simple! Friendly service, lots of options on the menu. My dish, the corned beef hash with eggs was very good--large portion! On the other hand my friend ordered a special breakfast sandwich which was disappointing (not in taste, but in portion--very small). We'd try it again!Hi Andrew,Thanks so much for visiting La Cuisine and for your review! We hope you'll visit us again soon.Christina
