We stopped by for lunch. Surprise! It wasnât busy. We had two special seafood salads and clam chowders. The salads were fine. Good quality ingredients. Just the right size for lunch. The chowder was New England style. Also, quite good. Waitstaff was on point. Everything came out hot and on time. Two issues...Itâs noisy and there are lots of flies inside. Probably all of the hard surfaces contribute to the noise. I think the flies come from the doors being open so the waitstaff can bring food and drinks out to the deck.

I go to Cask about once per month with friends. The staff is always friendly and helpful, there's an excellent beer selection, and the food is good. Fun place to spend a few hours!!

Good food, some unique options, kitchen was slow. We had our Kids (7 and 8 years) with us, and they are somewhat adventerous eaters. :) not a kid- friendly place, but they were accomidating with menu requests. Cocktails were delicious...wish we were here on a date!

Stopped for lunch yesterday. The service was friendly. Food came out quickly and it was really good. My younger son had a grilled cheese and he ate the entire thing! (This is among the highest praise from a 10-year-old!) My older son had a HUGE burger with delicious fries! I had the buffalo chicken salad. They very willingly substituted grilled chicken for the fried stated on the menu. I would go here again! Recommend!

We stopped for lunch on a Wednesday afternoon. We had draft beer (nice selection), chicken paninis and steak bomb. We also had an appetizer of nachos. Everything was very good. The paninis were really just toasted Italian style bread with fillings. Not what you would expect. The steak bomb was served on the same bread and it was huge. The nachos were perfect. Itâs a small space so it gets pretty noisy when crowded. Prices are moderate. And thereâs a nice view of the ocean just across the street.

We haven't eaten here in a very long time and I found myself wondering why (also why it isn't rated higher in the West Haven restaurant listing here) when we stopped by the other night. Great prix fixe menu, big selection, affordable prices.

Simple but delicious! Great for big groups and families. Loved the Salad with caramelized pecans and bleu small and large both portion to share.Pick your pizza topping... pepperoni had a nice spice Great beer selection and bartender was able to give you suggestions. Decent deli sandwiches... good service... I had the pastrami on rye... it was good, no New York quality but decent... service is friendly but not very attentive... I waited 15 minutes just waiting to get a menu and finally had to ask a 2nd time and then another 10 minutes trying to place my order
