With the opening of O'Connors Public House in Torrington, CT, Bobby O'Connor is hoping to transfer the same warmth and mystique that encompasses all of the visitors to his family's establishment in Ireland. Upon entering the newest addition to the Torring
We dined here with our son last week and the food and service were fantastic, as with all our visits. We've been here a handful of times since this place opened and have always been pleased with the service, atmosphere and most importantly, the quality of the food. In an area dominated by pizza, Italian restaurants and chain mediocrity, O'Connor's stands out as a real pub, offering basics like wings and burgers and delicious and unique dishes like eggplant fries. Friendly service and an inclusive vibe suitable for families, friend groups, date nights and solo visits make this place a winner.

Came on a recommendation, not disappointed. Nice neighborhood bar and grill, surprised how nice it was inside. Food was excellent, had the chicken curry and buffalo chicken salad special. Service was good, margaritas was good enough for a second. Check it out!!
Went here with a large group and it was pretty nice. Their wine was not my fave but Root 63 is practically sangria in wine form. Not my thing but the group was pretty in love with it. I like more quaint and less commercialized feeling vineyards, but their wine slushies were pretty interesting. I would go back.

Tavern of the Green located inside The Litchfield Inn. Separately owned and operated from the hotel. We offer dining from Wed-Sunday.
Very friendly bartenders. Locals gather here too. Poolside bar gets busy. No happy hour or specials, but drinks are priced well. Frozen pina cooladas are great. Bartenders Byron & Keith were very hospitable & make great drinks. Angel the bartender waters down drinks and isnt too hospitable.

Arrived 12:50 for lunch at 1. Other guests arrived at 1 - five of us total. Restaurant less than half full. Ordered at 1:15 and then waited....and waited... After 30 minutes, asked the waiter to check on our order. He returned and said our food would be "right out." That was not the case. 15 minutes later he came by again and said our food would be "out soon." 5 minutes later the manager came over and apologized and said our food would be "out next." Meanwhile a party of two who were seated after us had finished their meal and already left. When I went up to the waiter and said "Are you kidding with this?" he said "I'm doing my best..." Food came out after one hour. Food is ok, but definitely not work dealing with service like this. At the Corner restaurant across the street much better and more efficient.

I am a little disappointed with Bohemian Pizza since it's reconstruction. They did a nice job recreating the atmosphere inside, but they changed the pizza to a thinner crust which I don't like as much. The Italian Stallion pizza used to be my favorite pizza in the world, with nice big slices of fresh garlic, fresh green basil leaves delicious pepperoni and sausage. Then they stopped slicing the garlic and started mincing the garlic which really changed the flavor. When I asked about it the first time I got it like that they said "Oh we sropped doing that years ago" just NOT true, and there was no offer of "sure we could do that for you", or any semblance of appreciation for a years long loyal customer who had previously provide free TV advertising for them. I went for dinner last night and somebody ordered the Italian Stallion and I looked at it and remembered the good old days when it was the best pizza I ever tasted. So I ordered the burrito with blackened shrimp and was disappointed again. No hint of lime as advertised and so sign of blackening whatsoever on the shrimp. Sorry Bohemian, my favorite pizza now is just down the road at Bantam Pizza. Still like your Bohemian chic decor but the food is more important...and pleasing the customer should be too.

This was a default choice for dinner after we found our first choice was closed. A local couple on the street recommended @ The Corner and called it "consistent". We aren't sure what that meant unless it was consistently bad because our entrees were uninspired and tasteless. Service was pleasant and we were seated early in the evening without reservations.

The Village is a classic new England pub restaurant which offers local craft beers and locally grown farm to table produce when available seasonally. The dining room side is quieter with wooden booths whereas the pub side is bit more lively as casual. The
Positioned right off the charming, historic, Litchfield green; the location could not be better... although parking can be a challenge. Also, the tourist crowd can feel a little pretentious to some. The bar service is professional and prompt. The Oyster tacos were a clever idea and are well seasoned but overly oily and lacking crunch. The buffalo chicken wrap was flavorful and balanced (not too spicy) but dripping wet. All the portions were very generous. The cocktails are also generously poured and well crafted. At lunch, go for an elevated selection of american bar food served in a warm atmosphere at a reasonable price and expect to have left-overs.
