Things to do in Cheshire
I wanted a quick bite so I stopped in and, watching calories, asked for a plate of prosciutto, mozzarella and tomatoes with a drizzle of olive oil and that's just what I got from Lora, who is Italian. The atmosphere is not conducive to dining as a TV blares in the corner, although the deli's not really a destination but more of a take-out.

I and two long-time friends went to Bella 'Gio recently. The nice weather led us to choose outside dining. We were led to a nicely low-walled and very spacious patio, complete with many tables of all sizes, some with off-set lighted umbrellas overhead. Despite some beverage difficulties due to out-of-stock items.....i.e. our third choice for beer (served warm) and our second choice for wine (also too warm)... things got better. Perhaps a more experienced waitstaff person could have avoided the "sorry, we don't have it", even though listed on the menu by explaining in advance. Each of us had a different meal and each of us enjoyed the delicious taste twice. Twice because the portion was so large that half of each serving was taken home. Our choices were eggplant parmigiana, chicken parmigiana, and chicken Marsala. A delicious salad accompanied each order. The red Italian wine, though our second choice, was delicious and reasonably priced. The slow pace we chose was enhanced by a singer who serenaded the diners with ballads by Sinatra, Martino, Darren and others. Really enjoyable. Even had a friendly conversation with folks at the neighboring table. I'm eager to return with a larger group of friends so they can share this delightful restaurant.
I stopped here for an early dinner. They have some tables and seats inside. After looking over their menu, I ordered the turkey club grinder ($8.50).The sandwich was ready in about ten minutes. It was good size grinder lightly toasted on a panini grille. It had plenty of turkey, cheese, and bacon. I thought it was very good. They offer a New Haven style pizza and several patrons around me had ordered slices and were raving about it. I think I will try their pizza next time.

As foodies we travel all over and I have to say, disappointed doesn't begin to express our thoughts. We tried both soups, pasta ravioli and meatball, same base soup just a couple ingredients, they were equally poor in taste. The gluten free cheese pizza tasted and looked frozen, sauce blan hardly any cheese. The pepperoni was mediocre. The best thing was the can of tea. Can't believe that the restaurant stays busy, are people just looking for convenience?

This is a typical Waterbury-area restaurant....Italian, Italian, Italian!!! And what's wrong with that? Nothing at all, especially here. Super friendly service and portions that are enough for two. Their wraps and panini's are huge, accompanied by lots of fries. Great looking Italian and pizza too. Salads are large (even the side salad is large) and full of a lot of good things besides just lettuce. Menu is extensive as is the wine list. A little disjointed in its layout but that's not problematic. Eat outside on the back terrace if weather permits. Reasonably priced too, especially for the amount of food you get. Check it out.

A few coworkers were planning a lunch get together -and Vespucci location was in the middle- for all - so we went there. Iâd heard decent reviews - so I was up for the idea - as Iâd never been there Well I have to say their pizzas looked good But my friends - that came with me decided - to try something else. Two are gluten free - so they had Caesar salad with chicken on top - hardly any thing in plate - just romaine and small chicken breast chopped on top My other friend and I saw whole belly clams and was excited - we ordered - and i have to say - for $14.99 lunch whole bellies each - we expected more than 9 clams on mine - and 8 clams on hers Weâve had more clams on a small hotdog roll - in other restaurants and paid less for them. Very disappointed one friend had 2 stuffed shrimp - asparagus and about 2 tablespoons of mashed potatoes. And a small scoop of rice We ate them. But if we ever go back to eat there we will get pizza instead We were still hungry when we left. So the 4 of us - in my group - stopped and got Chinese to go - and had that -when we got back to my house. And had 3x the food for 1/2 the price and -had leftovers for lunch the next day -to top it off Itâs a nice place -ample parking - very nice waitstaff. But for the price of the lunch menu - and the amount of food you get for it - was not worth it for my group. The others that had pizza loved it there. So I guess itâs all in what you order.

They know how to do it here and you can tell they've been doing it a long time. Their pizza is fantastic and their meals are perfect. The service is always great and its a staple in our house to visit Rossini's at least once a month. We have brought our family and friends to this place as THE cheshire Italian restaurant - it knocks everything else out of the park. Your kindness, loyalty and feedback give us inspiration and appreciation.Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts regarding our service, pizza and entrees.Enjoy the Spring time and thanks again.
