We got take out - lamb kebab and falafel with rice pudding and baclawa. Excellent - large portions (2 meals out of each item). The pudding was not overly sweet, nor was the baclawa or baklava. The tahini sauce and spicy sauces were great, and the falafel was seasoned well. The rices were good as were the grilled veggies (tomato and pepper). Priced right, a great turkish/middle eastern treat. Get there early for baclawa - it sells out every day. Take out only for more than 1 person.

Had lunch here with husband who frequents the Stamford location. The food was scrumptious, full of flavor and very fresh! I loved the falafels, baba ganoush and hummus and the baklava was the best I've ever had! My husband enjoyed grilled meat platter with mujadara and salad.

We ere hoping to find a restaurant that was a little off the beaten path with interesting cuisine. And we were delighted to find Bereket. It is an immaculate and quiet restaurant offering a wide variety of Turkish dishes. We liked the tile floors, and the peaceful atmosphere. Our server was right there when we needed anything and very nice.We each had very nice falafel dishes, and as it was a first visit I can not comment on the other entrees, but when it came to dessert and coffee! Oh my gosh, it was wonderful! I have eaten falafel in many places, and even prepared it myself, but I have never had any that was as good as this home made item. And the coffee was exceptional. It was called American coffee, but it was , I believe, a mixture of American and Turkish coffee as it was not quite as thick as the traditional Turkish coffees that I have tried, but thick without becoming muddy, with a wonderful flavor and great in the big cup.I can not wait to return to try other dishes, and of course, to have the Baklava and coffee.A big cup of thick delicious coffee, and the absolute best Baklava imaginable.

With a fresh, sustainable menu from Restaurateur Antonio Ninivaggi and Chef Vincenzo Abbattista, Totoâ Mediterranean restaurant is not your average pan-Mediterranean bistro. Simple and classic Mediterranean dishes, with a special focus on organic products
The food was average to good but the service was very slow, a disappointing dinner. It could be better if the staff were more professional.Hi there,Sorry to know you didnât fully enjoyed dinner. It s not common to have a complaint about Totò staff professionalism and im wondering if you could share the date of your visit. It is one thing to have a slow service, being unprofessional is a little different and that concerns me.Would u be so kind!?U can email me at [email protected] youAntonio

There are several restaurants in the Bridgeport / Fairfield area that go by the name of Bereket ... and I think we ended up at the wrong one ... but it was still great food! There were a few odd things about this place ... for starters, it's located in a weird place right behind a gas station ... parking for about 4 cars in total ... we got "zipped in" by plastic covers to an outdoor seating area ... and the waitress wouldn't let us sit at a table for 3 people for a bit more room (there were 2 of us), even though we were the only patrons in the entire restaurant. All a bit strange...BUT ... staff were lovely, attentive, and service was fast. Food was super fresh and delicious. Huge meals for a lunch time and very well priced (dinner menu offers same food for more $$). Note they don't offer free water -- only expensive bottled water you could buy for 25c at Costco (the restaurant charges $1.50 for 500ml).Small seating area outside (for about 15 people), and also a small seating area inside (for about another 15 people). Oddly placed, but cosy.Note: I thought they offered 10% off for UB students, but they don't -- that must be one of the other Berekets. Woops!

Barcelona Wine Bar & Restaurant is a warm and welcoming tapas bar inspired by the culture of Spain. The ever-changing menu is focused on clean flavors, seasonal ingredients, specialties from Spain and the Mediterranean, and rustic small plate presentation
Had drinks and dinner on a Friday night. Had no idea a reservation would not be required but does come in handy. The bar atmosphere was buzzing and the cocktails were freshly made and garnished. A musician was on hand within an hour of us being hereWe then had dinner ordering tapas and cheese plates. These items we were surprisingly quite filling. Bartenders, servers and hosts were friendly and professional.Looking forward to a return visit especially in warmer weather for their outdoor dining as well as try other types of tapas and menu items.
