This place is true to form in its decor the feeling and their food. Very classic middle eastern/arab dishes prepared in a very classic way. My food was fantastic and the staff was very nice and accommodating.

Came here with friends for first time. We started with the Baba Ghanoush- delicious! Then we all got the lamb gyro sandwich platter. Beyond my expectations, the pita was crispy and filled with delicious lamb. For our dessert the owner brought over a special sweet cheese dessert. I enjoyed it but told him I was really looking forward to baklava, he sent over two pieces on the house. Looking forward to returning with my family.

Located in West Hartford center, this Afghani restaurant offers tasty food and attentive service. The menu is diverse and is vegetarian friendly. We had the kabeli palow lunch which consisted of their special rice with seasoned raisins, almonds, carrots, flavored with cardamom and shared the sauteed lamb and chicken shish kebabs. Their side of eggplant was also very flavorful - sliced steamed eggplant, fried and topped with tomato sauce, homemade yogurt sprinkled with mint.

Arugula's never disappoints. I've been coming here since the late 90's and have enjoyed my food experiences. Everything is prepared in house. The menu comprises of Middle Eastern, French and Northern Italian flavors and the food experience makes your face smile. This casual and sunny bistro is welcoming where the chef/owner Christiane treats you like a guest in her home. She has trained her staff well as they are very attentive and want your food experience to be memorable. I usually order their tasty and plentiful Eggplant Napoleon appetizer but have expanded to their Moules Frites (mussels steamed with tomatoes, curry, and onion marmalade. This meal also comes with sweet potatoe fries with a side of saffron tarragon aioli). Another item worthy to mention is their fig and asparagus crispy flatbread with a fig compote, sprinkled with blue cheese and the asparagus spears. Portions are ample...bring your appetite!thank you so much for the lovely review! i look forward to cooking for you again soon...christiane

Nice restaurant with nicely prepared food , but I really didnât like the spices. I had Tagine in Morocco and looked forward to having it. The spices were the problem with me. My friends loved their meals . My wifeâs mixed grill was excellent . I find it hard to put down a place because of my personal tastes . Try it as many people love this place. I have to endby saying I am really flexible withethnic food
