I stop in here whenever I'm in the area. The food is always good. I always get the same thing: Jerk chicken with an extra side of rice and beans and a side of plantain.

Such a hearty delicious meal! Jerk chicken, oxtail beef, and curried goat to share among us. Jamaican music, a welcoming and helpful server with the most beautiful accent, and a relaxed atmosphere. Loved it all! The restaurant has table service and carryout. While we were there many people came in for to-go orders. It's a popular place!

We did takeout from here on our first visit. The staff was very friendly and it was nice and clean inside. The jerk chicken and rice and plantains were very good and the prices and portions were reasonable. We will happily go back.

Let me begin with this. I have eaten my share of great desserts. From the great pastry places in Austria to one in Hungary and several in the USA too—but if one loves chocolate cake—old school, then this place is the best chocolate cake ever. Now, you are probably saying—but Ed, it’s a Jamaican Jerk place. Oh yeah, it’s that too. The chicken or pork jerk are moist and tasty, especially with the Ox tail gravy. The folks that work there are ALWAYS friendly. The chef who makes this cuisine must be hoping all day long. It’s a real East Hartford treasure. For the amount of food you get, the prices are very good. If you order a large meal (complete with dirty rice and other treats), you will be full. Not a dine in. My rating is based on the food quality—if you are looking for atmosphere, go to a park and eat this amazing food.
