Having been a fan of Sugar & Olives for a while and taking a cooking class there, I suggested it as the venue of my friend's baby shower in December, and we ended up choosing it. Jennifer and her team were excellent partners in planning the event, from suggesting delicious seasonal menu items to offering a fun, nonalcoholic drink option and even helping with the decorating on-site. The space is perfect for a shower (we had about 25 people) and everyone raved about the food and drink. I can't wait to go back for brunch or dinner soon :)

We bring our son to Darien every month for a medical treatment and weâve tried every breakfast place within a ten mile radius. Today we found the best one!!!! Hereâs why: (1) perfect illy cappuccino; (2) delicous food (eggs, homefries, and blueberry pancakes); (3) easy free parking behind the building; (4) great ambiance and vibe; (5) and super friendly and accommodating staff (seriously unfrazzled and kind about any request we made.). This should be #1 ranked!!!!

I went with my husband and daughter for a quick breakfast on the Friday of a holiday weekend. Everything about this place screams history, community, and great food. It's a market that also serves food. It was hard to decide what to eat because everything looked and smelled delicious. My 9-year-old gobbled up a huge slice of quiche (about 1/4 of the pie). I had an egg sandwich and my husband a bagel. Coffee and tea were good too. Prices are very good, too. We ate on the patio, which has a great view. The market had a nice selection of items. I will definitely stop by again next time I'm in Connecticut!Thank you, Lorraine! We are glad that we were a highlight of your trip to coastal Connecticut!
