Surprising top quality and some of the best Sushi you will ever try. Service is also top rated, friendly fast and very helpful. I would stick to the servers sushi suggestions, must try the Tuna Tartar heart shaped appetizer

We are Mystic residents and had passed this relatively new restaurant several times, so thought we would give it a try. Very pleasant experience. Food was good and the staff attentive, though it was not too busy when we were there. We will definitely return.

My husband and I went to RICE for the first time and were very impressed. It is a small restaurant right in front of the train station in Mystic. It looks like in the warmer weather there would be seating outside. We ordered Summer Rolls, a vegetarian sauté with Ginger Sauce and Massaman Curry with Chicken. The Summer Rolls were very good and artistically presented. Instead of being served with a hoisin/peanut sauce, it was served with a carrot sauce. While I love the hoisin sauce, this was very good and went very well with the summer rolls. The Veggies in Ginger Sauce was amazing. There were a lot of different veggies: Baby Bok Choy, lotus root, and what I was told was pumpkin, (it didn't taste like a squash, but delicious nonetheless) and a lot of other veggies like snow peas, carrot, onion, broccoli, cauliflower. My husband's Massaman Curry was also very good. It was served in a large bowl and had generous chunks of onion, potato and also pumpkin. There was a lot of sauce which he added his rice and mine. The entrees come with Jasmine rice, and for $2 more you can get sticky or brown rice. In addition to Thai food, they serve Sushi. We went at an off time, and I have heard the service can be slow, but when we were here, the service was fine. We will definitely go back.
