Naugatuck is a consolidated borough and town in New Haven County, Connecticut, United States. The town spans both sides of the Naugatuck River just south of Waterbury, and includes the communities of Union City on the east side of the river, which has its own post office, Straitsville on the southeast (along Route 63), and Millville on the west (along Rubber Avenue). As of the 2010 census, Naugatuck had a population of 31,862.

Came for lunch, ordered the fried calimari and grilled quail, both appetizers. Fried calimari was very good and tender. Quail was overcooked and dry, very spicy. Service was very friendly. This is not fast food. Took about an hour from start to finish. Plan on spending some time.

The down side of writing a good review for a little known place - before long you can't get a spot on a weekend! We like this place because you can get a quality meal in a nice setting with tablecloth, candle, dinner music and attentive service. Special favorites are steaks, and shrimp, but you can also get unusual entres like octopus or goat. There's a bar with TV, but we favor the dining room - freshly remodeled - for an evening out. Pleasing the customer is not just words. Want an example? If you enjoy table wine with your meal, they'll put the bottle on your table and you can pour (and pay for) what you like.At the end there's quality expresso and cappuccino to go with dessert.

On my first visit, I was amazed at the restaurant's cleanliness. This has to be one of the cleanest, if not the cleanest, I have patronized. The food is very good and always served hot. The bar serves good cosmos, wine, and beer. Dinner is also served at the bar and adds local flavor. The owners are Portuguese and the food is authentic. The round fried potatoes and yellow rice are excellent side dish choices. We have never been disappointed with this local restaurant.
