Reviews on European food in Danbury, Connecticut, United States. The strangers on Alfred Hitchcock's most famous train began their journey at Danbury, Connecticut's main station, along with thousands of other travelers over time. Now converted into the Danbury Railway Museum, the station and yards are open to visitors, with a collection of historic railroad cars and equipment. Just a few miles outside of the city's pretty historic center is Bear Mountain Reservation, a quiet forest parkland with hiking trails overlooking the calm waters of Candlewood Lake.

I came here with my family on a busy night and received extremely good service the entire evening. Dara was our server and was accommodating for our familyâs needs. It seemed very hectic and there was a wait but everything ended up being in perfect order. I had the fettuccine dolce and it was delicious. The drinks as well were absolutely amazing and the scenery was wonderful the entire time. The ambiance here, like every visit, is super comforting and a beautiful atmosphere. The owners are always very welcoming and house the ability to ensure every customer has a good time, as I have experienced before. They typically will stop by the table to make sure everything is going well and if thereâs anything they can do to improve our sit-down dinner. It is truly why we continue coming back during our visits in the area. My family and I really have made it one of our traditions to come back here and we hope Dolce is around for a long time!

I met a business associate here for lunch as I hadn't been here for many years. It was quiet and the owner waited on us. I had the meatloaf and my friend a vegetarian dish. Both were excellent and had plenty of food.

I am a seafood lover and my meal there was nothing but greatness. a seafood soup to start with. chunks of white fish with small pasta pieces in it and the broth was so flavorful I used 3 rolls to make sure I got every drop. The squid with potatoes and peppers for the entree was everything I was looking for. squid rings that were tender not rubber that you get at most restaurants. using the potatoes to soak up the sauce saved me from eating 2 more rolls.
