My friend and I found Whooster Pizza in the Entertainment Book and decided to give it a try. Glad we did! We ordered an extra large vegetarian pizza. It was LOADED with vegetables - mushrooms, onions, broccoli, spinach and olives. Our pizza was cooked perfectly. A slightly crunchy crust, yet nice and chewy. It was not greasy. Overall, very well done. The extra large vegetarian pie costs $20.50 -- a very good value. Quick service! They offer a full menu with a large variety of choices and lunch specials. I complemented the chef. The owner's son came out and shook our hands and chatted with us. We would return and highly recommend.
Very few things are as exciting as finding the perfect pizza! After looking through countless reviews of pizza parlors in the area that would deliver to my hotel, I happened upon Giovanni's.The man who answered the phone was very nice. He made an exception to come to downtown Waterbury for delivery. The pizza was outstanding. The perfect thickness of crust, otherwise known as thin crust. The cheese and pepperoni were plentiful, but not overbearing.I also ordered an antipasto salad. It had pretty big shoes to fill, seeing that I ate the pizza first, but it was still good.Next time I am in town, I will definitely try out the restaurant. I would recommend Giovanni's for delivery any day!

There are scores of Italian restaurants in Waterbury, so this one may get lost in the shuffle, and certainly has some stiff competition. This is a family type place on the outskirts of town. Booths, plastic grapes, empty wine bottles, etc. Kitschy but it does the trick. The menu is vast but basic, from pasta to pizza to salads, and so forth. Portions are plentiful and served in very nice dishes. Service was slow at a slow time, so not sure how things play out when they're busy. But service was also very warm and friendly. Pizza was crispy and full of toppings....pasta was plentiful and perhaps a bit over-sauced (then again, I like it real Italian style, with just a dollop of sauce on top). Salads were large with lots of toppings. An overall good value with something for everyone, so bring the kids and eat up.

Thought we'd try this place out. Came in on a snowy evening. Place was populated. I expected this place to be another fancy flatbread pizza place. Was pleasantly surprised to find a full menu. Had no intentions of ordering a big meal and ended up with the ribeye. Steak was prepared as asked. Wife and son both had sandwiches. One was a salmon and I don't remember the other. All was good. Good portion size as well. Server was awesome. Very personable and did not rush us. Reminded me of some Staten Island Italian places I've visited. Again, that's a good comparison. Wife has already been back with sister. They were a bit disappointed in trying to order a meatball sandwich and the kitchen was out. I saw that in other reciews. I like to assume positive so maybe they hadn't made a fresh batch for the evening.

I've been having Dominic and Vinnie's since I can remember, and I'm 40. This pizza, by far is my favorite! The crust is cooked perfectly, the sauce has the right zing, and the sausage, oh the sausage. The sausage is the best! If you are in the Waterbury area, be sure to make this one of your stops, it is a must.Thank you for all your years of support. We will be there for your next 40 years.

The Pizza is as good as or at least very close to what I remember many years ago when one had to wait in line in New Haven.Didnât have to wait to be seated. Similar experience and set up as Danbury location. Server was attentive and very pleasant.Pizza can get pricey as you add topping. We also had the Pepeâs salad which was very tasty. The pizza (large for the left overs) sausage and roasted peppers, the small salad (plenty for 2 maybe 3), and a quart bottle of soda was like $41 (before tip). Would I go back yes. For sure.

This place has consistently good food and very good prices. Service is super friendly and efficient, but the place really needs a makeover. Dark, drab and almost uninviting....but very clean!!! So don't let the decor turn you off. Greek style pizza, thick crust, crusty on the bottom, somewhat over-cheesed. But when you order a topping, you get plenty. Salads are delicious and very large, with lots of extras on them, not just lettuce. And the burgers are huge and come with some of the best onion rings around. In-town people....you know where it is. Out-of-towners, stop in...i'ts right off I-84 and will fuel you up for your long wait in traffic at the Waterbury interchange. Check it out.

Nino's is right off of I-84 east or west. Full Italian restaurant with many Italian specialties. We also make our own bread, pizza, specialty breads, and pasta. Gluten free pasta and pizza available. Make us your "go to" place for a night out, lunch, birt
We were a group of seniors (old, not high school) and we received excellent efficient and welcoming service by Denisa, our waitperson. Soups, sauces, salmon, veal, calzones - all were deemed delicious. Portions were large - most of us took home good size containers of leftovers. They make their own bread - excellent, especially the garlic bread, hot out of the oven. The dining area is roomy. They accommodated several separate checks among us - not everyone does. They have take-out, including that yummy bread, by the loaf, and their own fresh pasta. Good coffee to finish our meal and if Denisa is on duty make sure to order a cappuccino-she knows how to work the machine. They have a lunch menu but you can only order off the dinner menu on Sunday.
