We stopped in for a quick bite on a chilly Friday evening while passing through the area. Honestly we didn't expect much, but we were treated to a wonderful dinner! At 5pm, the dining area was empty. Minutes after we sat, the room was packed! At that point, we knew we were in for a treat. The pizza (we ordered a large bacon and onion) was very, very good! And the calzone was enormous. And delicious! Friendly service, family feeling. Completely grand all around.
This is the newest addition of a New Haven Tradition for pizza with the other locations in Madison and Clinton. The food is fantastic, the pizza's are very different including a spaghetti pizza, Pulled pork pizza and of course traditional. My personal favorite is the Pesto Pizza and the Margarhita. We tend to dine in as it's a bit of a drive, but worth the trip. They do have take out and delivery. Service is homey and it has a family feel.

Road trip up to Stonington, CT, late one Friday evening and hopped off I95 in Guilford to see what we could find. This place was perfect! We didn't have reservations, but they offered us a cozy seat by the window and it was perfect. Delectable salad and a pizza for my husband and I hit the spot! The sauce, sausage, and cheese were delicious and the crust got our high marks for thin and tasty. The place was jumping with lively groups at the counter and it was fun to watch the staff and diners chat and discuss the food. Our servers were very helpful making suggestions about their favorites and checking back with us every few minutes to make sure we were happy. They squeezed us in and we couldn't have been happier! We'll be back!

Chow!!!!This place is awesome. Iâve heard about it. Iâve driven by it and today was the day to try it. Definitely stood up to the word going around town on how this little resturant is rocking the food waves. The wonton and burnt end apps... delish. Half rack of dry rub ribs with Brussel sprouts... delish. Oh yea, they also produce some pretty good looking pizza pie. Weâll try that next time. Parking, indoor and outdoors seating. Bar seating. To go orders seemed to be slamming busy. So, Iâd say give Chow a try either eat in or take out.

Great new haven style pizza. As far as their specialty pizzas I have eaten the chicken parmesan , margherita, mashed potatoe, buffalo chicken and shrimp Bianco. They are all excellent!!. They also make good wings. I haven't tried their sandwiches as of yet but I'm sure they will be delicious. The owner is a friendly guy and the place is very clean. Cant miss.
This place is fine to pop in for a grinder or something at lunch but I don't particularly care for their pizza. It's a bit greasy, the crust is limp and does not have any interesting taste to it. A better choice for delivery is Nuzzos in Madison.

Portofino's makes a good thin crust pizza that is flavorful, chewy, and satisfying. It may not be a destination restaurant but if you are in the area and are looking for pizza you can't go wrong here. Eggplant grinder was fine also. And on Saturday evening, they are open til 10 pm.

If you are on the shoreline and are looking for excellent pizza and stuffed bread Nick's is it! The sauce flavor on the pizza is amazing! I was pleasantly surprised! We ordered delivery and the food came quick and was hot. We ordered our crust 'crispy' and it was perfect!!! Our local pizza place we have gone to for years is so busy now that we receive our toppings slopped in the middle of the pizza and the crust soggy in the middle. We decided to try Nick's as it is under new Management and we are hooked!!! There are no tables for inside seating but there is delivery and pick up. Management told us they will be adding tables soon. Either way, a must try!

We were driving by as we were looking for a pizza place. Decided to give it a go and we weren't disappointed. Pizza was unusual for us--very thin crust, but tasty. Sauce was sweet -no bitter edge like some have. Fresh ingredients -nothing canned or frozen. Good salad to go too.

Our take-out experience included two pizzasâ One large cheese and one small sausage/meatballs/onion. First off, the call in to give the order and the pick up was in very little time â â that had impressed me from the start. The second stand out was the crust â â crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, with the proportion of crust-to-the-remaining ingredients being perfect, not too much or too little. The sauce was lightly seasoned, not overwhelming, but with just the right sweetness to make it exceptional. The remaining ingredients were fresh and again well proportioned. I was extremely impressed and although I have to travel quite a bit myself to get there, I wholly intend to do so in the near future
