We have been regulars of Village since moving to Ridgefield and continued to patronize the establishment after the brothers took it over. They are serious about their pizza and have introduced many pies with different and interesting toppings that are available by the slice. The pies are all hand thrown and they will take special orders and make a pie to your liking.Take away and delivery is available. Seating both indoors and out, with table service so you don't need to worry about a balancing act just to sit and eat. They have an extensive menu, one that we have not sampled as we are mostly pizza-philes, but don' let that stop you from trying...their food is all prepared fresh daily.Eating and shopping locally is the only way to go.
John's Best is a great, family friendly, reasonably priced Italin restaurant on Route 7 in Ridgefield. Service is always attentive, and the pasta is wonderful, with outstanding freshly made sauces. Speaking of sauces, the pomodoro is a favorite and also the cheapest pasta dish on the menu! John's Best has become our default for local, reasonably priced, very good Italian food. The pizza is worth the trip as well.

There are italo-american, wannabe Italian and then the genuine Italian Restaurants. We came across the Posa Ristorante by coincidence, strolling the neighborhood with our dog. What a surprise! Real in-house prepared, fresh pasta, excellent fish, crisp salads and an astounding selection of wines. The taste of the food we had? Outstanding and above all with real and genuine Italian taste. That is not easy to come by in our area. It felt as we were transported to a fine Trattoria somewhere in southern Italy. Besides we observed a lively bar scene. And then came the real test of any Italian (true Italian) Eatery: the espresso. And it was just delicious. Not too strong, not too watery, not bitter, just an explosion of true coffee taste - they way only the Italians are able to brew. Bravo ragazzi...
The pizzas here offer excellent variety and use quality ingredients, tending toward the thicker crust variety. For a pizzeria, the prices are very high. The similarly owned Village Tavern upstairs offers much greater menu variety at higher cost, but the quality is there at both.
This was a great surprise, wife and I had a great pizza, and fried calamari, and 3 beers at this fine joint! On Saturday evening! The place was packed. The man who served us (owner I think) was very attentive, and funny!A great atmosphere, and good food, despite being incredibly busy

I went to Piccolo Pizza on 24 Prospect Street in Ridgefield....not sure where the "Jazzeria" comes from but I'm pretty sure it's the same place. Great lunch menu which incudes a soft drink and salad/soup, plus a large entree. And a nice "hometown" atmosphere. I had a house salad to start which was so nice looking I didn't want to eat it...but I'm glad I did. Nicely diced and chopped veggies and lettuce, but heavy on the veggies, which I love. My colleague had the soup which also looked (and smelled) delicious. I had a delicious white pizza loaded with sausage, carmellized onions and cheese....wonderful. Lunch salads were large and loaded with chicken too. Service was super friendly but a bit slow, especially considering that there was hardly anyone else in the place. But don't let that stop you....check it out. It's a delicious experience.

Went there before a concert at Ridgefield Playhouse and i could not have been more delighted. The ambiance was sumptuous, the waitress personal and attentive but not overbearing. I started with the caesar salad that had a unique, distinctive flavor that was not overpowering. What followed was the Scialatielli: shrimp, squid, scallops, mussels, and clams in a cherry tomato sauce. My god was that good! The pasta, obviously homemade had a consistency that was so pleasing to my palette. Somewhere between gnocchi and linguine pasta. Seafood was fresh, sauce delicious. My dining guests all raved about their dinners as well. An A+ meal. I wonder where these other people who gave it one str went for their dinner that night?

We had a very enjoyable lunch. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. They offer a very nice menu: appetizers, salads, pasta dishes, grinders, chicken and veal dishes, pizza- many kinds and drinks. I ordered the Pasta Primavera with a side salad. My husband had a grilled chicken parm grinder. We also ordered a small cheese pizza with mushrooms. Everything was freshly prepared and tasted delicious. The servings were very generous too(We had leftovers to bring home). In addition we had very good service. We will definitely eat here again.

Barolo's small ambiance and unusual Italian menu was even better the second time around. Tried crostinis as appetizers. Each crostini is really just a small toast point covered in a small helping of flavorful salad-like fixins. Excellent. Entrees just as good. Nice people, too. Will keep dining here.

TerraSole Ristorante offers authentic innovative Italian cuisine just off of historic Main Street in Ridgefield. Our flavorful hand-picked produce from local Connecticut farms are paired with fresh meat, fish, and foul from artesian producers. All of our
Each year we gather for a small reunion. We are always greeted and treated royally. Several in our party had pasta bolognese, their favorite and it didnât disappoint. Another had ahi tuna on flatbread with an herb drizzle, and I had beet and arugula salad with eggs Benedict, all flavorful and fresh. Everything arrived plated beautifully and in a timely manner. Save room for an amazing dessert! There are plenty of options, we had profiteroles and pistachio gelato with cherries and whipped cream. Lovely. There was a keyboardist on the patio playing requests providing nice background. Reservations are probably a good idea as TerraSole is quite popular. Overall a very savory and relaxing experience as usual. Scott - what can we say? We SO appreciate you. Thank you for this review. It means the world to us.
