Great Lenten Friday Dinner with Friends, great Family Restaurant, white linen table cloths and old school feel and service, they have been around forever and food has and is always excellent, still run by Family and meaning they actually work there ! You don't see that much anymore and also they take reservations which is awesome, we had a 6:30pm reservation for 6, we were seated right away - reservations are awesome - greeted right away by our waitress - Jenna (she was Awesome) brought water and warm bread and our drink orders taken, drinks within 5 minutes for the table, then apps orders taken - we ordered the New York Style Fried Calamari and a few pasta Fagioli- both excellent, my Wife and her Aunt had black olive and mushroom pizza - My uncle in law had salad with Salmon, our two other guests had fish and chips and I had the same, really awesome option 1, 2 or 3 pieces of fish, fries and cole slaw, fish was awesome - lightly battered and slaw and fries were excellent as well, saved room for dessert, because I know they make everything in house (not just desserts - everything is in house), we had the Lemon Merengue Pie, Strawberry Cannoli Sundae (STANDOUT) and the Rice Pudding, Check out their Easter offerings - Meat and noodle pies and all and everything for Easter - placed my order while we were there - they also have a sitting each year that you can sample the Easter Fare, really awesome, we eat here all the time and it is always amazing, we have been going here since the late 80's as teenagers when it was on Main Street in Bridgeport, same great food for decades, now in Monroe hidden in the back of a mini mall on Main Street in Monroe, hard to spot but definitely make this a stop, it will not disappoint

We were a group of 7 for our visit. We were easily accommodated at a round table which was perfect to be able to see and hear everyone. We had a few appetizers - caprese, fried mozzarella, crab cakes and Brussel sprouts. All were good although if I were a betting man, Iâd wager the brussel sprouts were to probably frozen but at the very least over steamed before pan friends with the other components of the dish. Our waitress was awesome! With one exception, everyone enjoyed their meal. 3 of us had salads and everyone enjoyed each of them. The gnocchi and eggplant I am told were excellent. I had chicken Marsala which was very good - maybe a little too much salt. My wife âs dish was the exception - she ordered the 1/2 roasted chicken. The chicken was absolutely undercooked. The waitress handled it like a pro and asked if my wife would like it replaced with a new roasted chicken or a different meal. At that point my wife opted not to reorder.

This is one of the best pizza restaurants in Monroe. Only suggestion, they should remove the salad bar and swerve salads with the meal.

The Waterview is a private event facility available for wedding receptions, and other special celebrations. Stunning lakefront views, dramatic ballrooms, contemporary cuisine, and superior service... this combination is what makes the Waterview the most d
My wife and I recently had our wedding reception at the Waterview (2-18-2017). Wedding planning could be difficulty in general, but we are so happy we chose this venue. The process was very easy and efficient. The entire staff was wonderful through all of the planning and of course during the event itself. Colin by far exceeded our expectations and the party ran flawlessly. The food and service as amazing and I highly recommend this place for anyone's special day or other events.

We hadn't been here in years so we decided to check it out. We were seated immediately despite the fact that it was a Friday night. Service was incredible....friendly, attentive and personable. The food was excellent. Calamari is a good indicator of a restaurant's ability to turn out good food, and we were not disappointed. Tender, crispy and plentiful. As for main courses, get the "Pig Roast", which is a tender rolled pork roast on top of broccoli rabe, etc., and garnished with little polenta squares. Outrageously flavorful and good. Fish and chicken entrees were excellent too. I can't wait to go back to try their pasta dishes (gnocchi for sure) and some other offerings. The only criticism is that the tables are too close....our neighbors on either side were incredibly interested in our conversations for some reason. But in a region that has preciously few restaurants of note (besides pizza), this place really stands out. Check it out.

Housed in a magnificent building, this luxe Northern Italian restaurant makes you feel thousands of miles from the Shelton corporate park where it is located. Il Palio is known for its homemade Italian cuisine, an extensive wine list, and exceptional serv
Ate here with a business colleague tonight. We split the 3 Small Plates as an appetizer: Prosciutto, Meatballs & Steamed Clams. All very good and woudl do again. For mains, colleague had the Lasagna which he thought was OK but next time would try something else. I had the Filet of Sole which was fantastic and I'd order again without hesitation. Will do again the next time in this area.

In August, 2019, this was the designated meeting spot for "An Evening with Annabelle," which included dinner at Roberto's. It was a serve-yourself, buffet-style Italian food. The food was forgettable....bland, and mass-produced. Perhaps Annabelle cursed the grub. And the banquet hall setting was underwhelming....felt like I was in a cheap hotel. Clearly the highlights were the artifacts from the Warrens' Occult Museum.

We went for dinner on a Thursday night. Bar, which is part of the dining area, was crowded and very loud. We were seated immediately having a reservation. Our waiter was great. When we told him our order, he suggested that the salad was very large and that maybe we should consider sharing. We followed his advise and glad we did. We waited too long for our dinners to arrive. The eggplant was good, not great, the veal martini was very salty. All in all, the food was acceptable, but the noise level will cause us not to return.
