Youâll never cook again after seeing the wonderful gourmet takeout selections at Pasta Vita! From a huge variety of delicious entrees, appetizers and salads to homemade soups, pasta and desserts, all packaged with ingredients and cooking directions, you simply canât go wrong! After enjoying Pasta Vita takeout for many years in Old Saybrook, we were delighted to see the attractive new Pasta Vita shop open in Avon. A real boon for commuters and anyone who enjoys good food but doesnât have the time or inclination to cook! We have many favorites, among them the chicken cordon blue, chicken portofino, coconut chicken with mango salsa, veal Marsala, macaroni and cheese, wild mushroom soup and baked stuffed shrimp. The salads are all very fresh and the many varieties of ravioli are all delicious. Highly recommend â- give it a try!

Bertucci's restaurants are firing-up brick ovens from New England to Virginia, each reflecting the distinct character and local charm of its community. Like the original Bertucci's, every kitchen is open, making our brick oven part of the restaurant exper
My husband and I had a dinner at Bertucciâs in Avon, Connecticut on Wedhesday, September 5, 2018. The food was high quality and nicely prepared. The portions were also quite generous. My husband had the Chicken Parma, which he really enjoyed. I had a small Nolio pizza, which was a different type of pizza, which was good, but perhaps it had a little too many onions on it for me. I prefer the Pucillo pizza which has a great combination of toppings and has consistently been very good. The overall service was also excellent with our waiter being very friendly, polite and attentive. The atmosphere at the restaurant was very relaxing with nice comfortable seating in a booth. There was also plenty of free parking in front of the restaurant. We have enjoyed multiple meals at Bertucciâs and it has consistently been quite good. I have enjoyed the Roasted Eggplant Pomodoro and my husband always enjoys the Chicken Parma. As mentioned above, the Pucillo Pizza is our favorite when we order pizza. We always think the rolls are great!! Also, Bertucciâs provides a good value for our money, in particular, when we are able to use the coupons that they offer. We recommend this restaurant and will definitely go back again to enjoy another meal, either lunch or dinner.Thank you for recommending us. We are glad to hear you enjoy dining with us and we look forward to welcoming you back soon!

For a variety of reasons having to do with circumstances, we decided to order sides and soups for Thanksgiving from the NE Pasta Co. and just fuss with cooking the turkey itself (in an oven bag, no less, which worked wonderfully). We ordered, cranberry sauce, gravy, stuffing, potatoes, green beans with garlic and almond slivers and cream of cauliflower soup. We didn't even bother heating and eating the soup - all of the other portions were generous for four people. We did also get pumpkin bread, but that was for breakfast. It was easy to pick up the day before Thanksgiving. It was easy to heat on the bottom rack of the oven while the turkey roasted.I assume the food is as good IN the restaurant as it is for take-out, but I can't comment on the service. The ambiance, of course, is that of a catering outfit in a strip mall.

We brought a large party here and we had multiple appetizers and dinners. Everything was good, and some very good. The service was also good. This is a good place for a simple dinner.

Surprisingly reasonable prices for Avon. Friendly service and excellent pizza as well as a fairly extensive menu. Totally worth the visit!

Amici Italian Grill offers an upscale atmosphere, sophisticated cocktails and martini selections, and a mix of modern and classic Italian fare. The appetizers are always delicious, the fried calamari is one of my favorites. The bread, salad and dinner entrees offer a gratifying experience, without leaving feeling overstuffed. If you like an Alfredo sauce, try the Gorgonzola Chicken!

I've had pizza here twice and it's easily becoming one of my favorite go to pizza places. The first time was takeout and just recently I dined in at their newly renovated restaurant. The atmosphere, staff and pizza are awesome. Both times I've created my own pizzas but the menu offers some creative options. Not only is the pizza delicious but the amount of toppings they put on the pizza is exceptional. They do not skimp! I definitely recommend this place for anyone looking for great pizza. You will not be disappointed.

I previously reviewed Da Capo in December 2014 and gave them a pretty positive review and 5 stars with my only complaint being how loud the restaurant is. In the last four years Iâve been to Da Capo probably 20 times including last weekend. Da Capo is very popular and consistently crowded. It has earned a reputation for great food and accommodating service. However I think their popularity has come at a cost. The overall experience at Da Capo is substantially lessened by how crowded and loud it is. It is difficult to hold a conversation because the noise levels are so high. Servers are not as attentive or relaxed in their presentation because it is so busy and they have so many guests to take care of. Even if servers havenât rushed us through our meal, the many people waiting for a table 10 feet away from us have. I get the feeling that the kitchen is less accomodatjng with individual requests because of how busy the restaurant is. Food quality, while still very good, has lost something from what it once was. Managers used to bring, unsolicited, a free piece of cake- no longer. To me, it appears that Da Capo is struggling to manage the large volume of business Iâm presuming it is doing. Unfortunately, I feel that in itâs success that something has been lost and that Da Capo has been diminished. Iâll still go to Da Capo but it wonât be my first choice. Max a Mia, across the street, offers an overall better experience.

Max A Mia is the quintessential Italian experience in the Greater Hartford area. Featuring a traditional Italian menu, Max A Mia also utilizes an authentic brick oven that produces stone pies with unmatched flavor.
Once again Max A Mia blew it out of the water and made my birthday just so extra special with Lynn as my server. My Tuscan salad was perfectly prepared with blackened salmon. The salmon was hot and perfectly cooked; and those polenta crotons--just yummy. And their pizza bread; OMG--warm, perfectly seasoned and with olive oil -- it is difficult to stop eating. And the special treat of a piece of birthday cake was over the top wonderful. Lynn is an excellent server and made my birthday lunch just wonderful; thank you so much. And thank you Max A Mia for another great lunch; you folks know how to do it right!Happy belated birthday! Thank you for allowing us the opportunity to host your birthday celebration. It sounds like you had a totally enjoyable experience and we cannot express how grateful we are that you took the time to offer your feedback. Thanks for your patronage and we look forward to you joining us again! Cheers!
