if you are looking for simple, good home cookin" this is your place. Food is served cafeteria style. Today at lunch we had a choice of ribs, baked chicken, pork chops, roasted chicken, fried chicken, and fish. There were at least a dozen vegetables to choose from and 3-4 desserts. The ribs we ordered were swimming in a thick sweet bar-b-que style sauce, very tender and flavorful. The collard greens were fresh and cooked to perfection. She ordered black eyed peas and I had baby limas both were very good and hot. The large piece of pineapple upside down cake was some of the best i have had. Let me warn you the portions are HUGE. We brought home half our meals, all except the cake. Not cheap, our bill was $31.50 but considering we got 4 meals not a bad bargain. There are only 4 tables that seat a total of 12 people most of the business is carry-out by local people.

An American restaurant with a full bar serving handmade burgers, appetizers, sandwiches and unique entrees. Enjoy lunch or dinner in our Tavern or on any of our expansive patios overlooking the golf course at Keney Park.
We tried the place for the first time recently and overall we were disappointed. It is a nice looking restaurant. We were seated promptly. The server and another person (I'm guessing a manager) were very friendly. However, their friendliness didn't make up for the really slow service. I don't know if it was them or the kitchen, but we were there way too long for a simple meal. The food gets mixed reviews - My wife really liked the brussel sprouts. She wasn't as happy with here sandwich, but I think that was more about her choice than the food itself. I had fish and homemade potato chips and the fish was not that great. The breading wasn't crisp and was a bit soggy. It was not a big portion. The chips were good and it was a very ample portion.

My wife and I were searching the web for a new restaurant Friday night and stumbled upon the San Marino. Only had five reviews, but all five star. So, we tried it. What a pleasant surprise. From the moment you step into this restaurant, the staff, including Joe (mgr, owner?) were extremely attentive. We felt welcomed into this establishment as if we were family. The menu was extensive without being overwhelming. Good selection of pasta, veal, beef, and seafood dishes. We ordered a couple cocktails, the veal Milanese, the veal piccata, and the broccoli rabe and sausage pasta to share. Two glasses of house wine were the perfect compliment to our dinners. The recommended desert, tiramisu, was fantastic. All dishes were cooked to perfection, seasoned nicely, without loosing the essence of the main ingredients. In the end, Joe came over to make sure we enjoyed our evening and offered us their homemade Sambuca, complimentary. It was delicious. Five stars to this new and inviting restaurant.

My husband and I have had breakfast many times at Mahaneyâs in Windsor, Connecticut, most recently on Sunday, May19th. It is a very nice family-run restaurant in our town that serves both breakfast and lunch. I enjoy the blueberry pancakes and my husband enjoys the eggs over easy with bacon, rye toast and hash browns. We have also enjoyed the cheese omelet, cheese omelet with mushrooms and the omelet special with bacon, cheddar cheese and mushrooms. The portions have been generous, with the food high quality and delicious. The blueberry pancakes are huge and are filled with plenty of blueberries. The servers are polite, friendly and helpful. There is convenient parking in front of and on the side of this restaurant and even in the back, if needed. We recommend this restaurant and will definitely continue to go back again. The restaurant is located on Route 75 and is a convenient drive to the airport.

1st time here, won't be last! We sat in the bar which is pretty big, about 12 beers on tap and 3 large TVs. Dining room is separate but both areas were clean and nicely decorated with exposed industrial steel beams, duct work, and hardwood. There's an outside patio too. The bartender was very nice and meal delivery was fast. The menu is interesting and offered plenty of apps, handhelds, salads, and entrees from Portugal and Italy. I could have made a meal out of the delicious warm dinner rolls and red pepper dipping sauce! We ended up ordering chorizo & steak sandwiches and both were excellent in quality and flavor - tender, juicy & delicious. And, be sure to try the "Portuguese fries" - they are fresh, thick-cut homemade potato chips, and they are amazing!

When I was there for a speaker event, it was raining very bad. I expected the restaurant to be prepared for a storm like this one but it turns out they were not. The river room was becoming very flooded and just looked God awful. If I was the owner of this place I would have been very embarrassed.Dear Mrs. Classy, Thank you so much for your opinion. Yes, it happened to be a severe rain storm that evening, with flash flooding. As you probably noticed we are a very old, historical building. The room you were in has a greenhouse with ceiling and wall glass panels. With rain like that sometimes old buildings leak. Contrary to your comments, we were prepared and placed containers to catch the drips- not flood like you claim. You should have paid more attention to the wonderful presentation and speaker than to something that did not affect you. The 'leak' was well behind where guests were seated. You should be embarrassed by your nasty, unnecessary comments. People like you don't understand what it is like to have a business and have cowards like you try and give them a bad name via online platforms. Your choice of a screen name shows what kind of classless individual you are. With Wet Regards,Management

Our only gripe was the size of the alcoholic drinks, although we should of asked if they did smaller servings! Service great, lovely range of sandwiches served with an amazing choice of sides all for around $12 or so. Unique setting with interesting photos on walls. If you live nearby lucky you!

Dom's is a quintessential eatery favored by the locals. When we stopped there for lunch recently, one of Windsor's finest was eating there and clearly knew all of the staff and many of the customers. You usually can't go wrong eating were the cops do. Dom's is at the southern end of the town green and has lots of parking. It was clean, and the staff was both competent and breezily informal in the welcome way of local diners. One of our orders was a grilled cheese and ham sandwich and cup of soup combo ($6). The soup was a very good, made-there Italian wedding soup. The sandwich was also a winner. It featured a heaping serving of ham and lots of gooey cheese on nicely toasted, thick pieces of sourdough bread. It came with some excellent, made-there chips. Equally well-done was Dom's BBQ Meatloaf Melt ($9) composed of their house-made meatloaf topped with cheddar cheese, sautéed onions, and BBQ sauce on grilled Texas toast. It came with good sweet potato fries. Any place where for two people you can have very good food and friendly and able service in a clean place with good parking for $20 including tip is a good place to go.

What I appreciate about dining here is that you can take your tray to the patio and still enjoy the ambience. The staff will check on those dining outdoors but if you want to be alone you've got that too. Departing patrons may comment that you look lonely (I wasn't). The patio lets travellers unwind at a picnic table rather than a barstool. Meat portions are weighed by the ¼ pound. The lesser carnivores can skip that station and order veg side dishes. The cornbread and honey butter make a good dessert if you've got room or satisfying breakfast the next day.

Tunxis Grill & Pizzeria is a local favorite with a casual atmosphere and friendly service. There are a variety of menu options and a full-service bar.
