Delicious Sunday Brunch buffet. 10-2 reservations suggested. Eat inside or on our decks. Awesome Bloody Mary's and Mimosas. Make reservations on the website or leave a message!
Deep River (off the banks of the CT River) has an outstanding brunch option in the RiverView Room at the Lace Factory. The choice of fresh and appetizing foods was impressive and the setting is special. The main business here is a catering hall and the staff and facility do not disappoint....

cookery and taproom located in the center of Ivoryton across from the Ivoryton Playhouse. Casual dining for lunch dinner and late night. New taproom opened with ct craft beers.
We went here over the weekend and all 4 of us had great meals. The menu leans toward New Orleans, southern type food. Portions are a good size and the food is good, and the service is warm and friendly. Although we were told it's their slowest month, the place empties out after the early diners leave. If it's the busy season (there is a play house next door) just go after 7:30 pm.

Put simply, Dough on Main, offered good food, but we have now retired! Thank you to all who stopped in â whether only once, from time-to-time or once a day! We enjoyed 7 wonderful years delighting you!
Dough on Main was recommended to me by someone who is probably the most hyper-critical restaurant goer I have ever met. I trust her judgment and she eats here regularly. Well, she was right. The eggplant sandwich with pesto was delicious and substantial. I almost couldn't finish it, but it was so good, I couldn't stop. I will definitely be back to try the other sandwiches and homemade pastas. The place is small and has a homey vibe. There's one small table in the window (there are steps) and a larger dining table next to the coolers. Prices are on the high side for Connecticut (average or below-average for New York City), but totally worth what you are paying in terms of quality and freshness. I'm sold.Thank you for your great review. We are pleased that a savvy friend and regular customer enticed you to give us a try and that you were pleased. Your reaction to our food is one we continually strive for. Again, thanks! And we do hope you can visit again soon.

Very quaint. Beautiful waterfall and the entry from the parking lot sets the stage. Cross the covered bridge over the river, the waterfalls were pretty. Greeted immediately and our interest in the mill led to our wandering through the restaurant looking at the view from various rooms. Upstairs is more formal, white table cloths, etc, Downstairs in the pub more casual. Although there is no dress code we chose the pub. Had a very private table on the side of a beautiful fireplace, lit to ward off the damp chill outside. It was perfect. The food was excellent. We shared an appetizer, each had an entree with 2 drinks each for a total of $100.00 Friday night at 6:00 pm and there was no wait at all. Good or bad sign we were not sure. The waitress was great and explained that some weekends there is a 2 hour wait at that time, Their busiest days are Monday and Tuesday when they have Prime Rib specials. We look forward to our next visit.

Wide variety of unusual, delicious food. Just like most of Chester Center, it is fun and friendly. Great place to catch up with the locals, with swinging doors reminiscent of yesteryear. Outdoor tables are the perfect seats for people watching in this delightful village.

Cute little eatery with lots of interesting food choices. We serve organic and farm fresh meals that are creative and nourishing to the soul! Kid love the kids meals and we cater to vegetarians-vegans. We go to the regional market ourselves to insure the
One of the owners practices Traditional Chinese Medicine and they offer a long list of medicinal teas - the menu is creatively showcased in vintage children's books - or written on the chalk boards near the ceiling. Breakfast includes quite a variety of excellent pancakes - order several to share as appetizers before the rest of your food arrives. The omelettes are excellent. Talking to the staff, we felt like we'd known them for one hundred years - so friendly, warm and welcoming. Service was excellent.Home fries are great, but so are the healthy alternatives (spinach with mushrooms!)The inside space is small and cozy - the outside space is a fabulous way to eat great food and enjoy spring.Wish we were local. We would be regulars!Wow, thank you so much. WE WISH YOU WERE LOCAL TOO!!hope to see you again next time you are in the area.cheers and happy dining.

Red House provides an array of food and drink that keeps customers wondering what is coming next. Whether it is seasonal menus, southern bbq, hot trends we keep are customers coming by keeping our ingredients fresh.
Tonightâs meal was even better than the first! I had the roasted Brussels sprout salad with a side of Pulled Pork. It was delicious. My husband had the Roasted Beet salad and said it was also very good. The special dessert was an orange infused rice pudding, which was fabulous! Our dinner was made even more enjoyable by our waitress, Amanda. She was so personable and made sure we had everything we needed.

Lunch at The Wheatmarket, Chester, Connecticut is a most enjoyable experience. Owners, Dennis and Joan, have earned the patronage of many local residents for 29 years! Dennis specializes in making the soups; my wife and I savored Road Island Clam Chowder ($4.50) and Mulligatawny ($4.50), both DELICIOUS. The Mulligatawny was reminiscent of curry I recall when stationed in Thailand in the 70's (US Air Force); fortunately, the spices were muted to American taste. We split a Roasted Boar's Head Turkey Sandwich w/cheese and cranberry mayonnaise served on toast, also VERY GOOD. The food is high quality and reasonably priced; total bill, $19.00, lunch for two. ENJOY.

Not that they have lots of competition but an excellent restaurant with a big emphasis on local ingredients. The menu is constantly changing based on whatâs available each day. The chef/owner credits the chefs who prepared the daily menu; no ego there. Chef Rapp initiated the chef to farm dinners he runs for two weeks each summer. They are well worth attending. Look for dinnersatthefarm.com.
