Decent hotel and a very good one for Guinean standards. Rooms are clean, LCD, bathrooms are little bit old. Staff was responsive, especially the receptionist. Breakfast does need improvement - lack of cold cuts, boiled eggs were smelly.

Awful. Don't expect a warm welcome at check in. Expect a 20 minute wait for a coke in restaurant. Our dinner, when it arrived (after an hour at least) comprised 4 small pieces of beef in gravy, a small amount of fries, and no veggies at all. Breakfast was an improvement on the dinner, though the juices seem to be made from powder? Rooms resemble a war bunker. It is considerably worse than the Bamako Onomo. I expect that many hotels in Conakry suffer from the same issues.......

Located in the heart of the greeneries.the riviera tauyah is a boutique hotel that cares for your needs; with our trained staff and renovated property, our guest feels like home with the comfort that we offer.our restaurant serves the best food in conakry with a wide variety of international cuisine from italien with our wooden oven to european and our special lebanese cuisine ...located in the heart of tauyah, commune de ratoma just 5 minutes away from the airport.
We stay at the Riviera when in transit to & from work. Hotel staff are friendly. Rooms are huge in the tower block, the rooms in the court yard are smaller, though plenty big enough. Two restaurants, the food is very good, and prices are reasonable Staff at the pool side restaurant need to polish up on the hospitability skills, very slow at times at getting service (even when its quiet) Maria (House Keeping Manager) and her team do a fantastic job keeping the rooms up to standard, and nothing is to much trouble. Kieta who looks after the Breakfast, does a great job also the Front desk reception staff who are always happy to see us return, and even know us by name Small things make a big difference As mentioned the standard of the food is excellent, and the kitch staff need to be congratulated on a job well done..........

Well, Today is my second day at Hotel Kaloumn ( after having disgusting time at Grand Hotel Central ( I wont recommend that Grand Hotel to anyone). Reception: was good with warm wellcome, the front office manager speak English and he gave me his business card as well as offer of his assistance ( very nice indeed), Room; I am living at the standard room which is good, decorated well, A/C works properly , TV is working well ( the default language of TV is Chinese) there are tea and coffee on the table, and 4 bottles of water. The bathroom equiped with shower, I liked the decoration( very good), Food: I am here during Ramadan time and I enjoyed the Ramadan buffet, They have special sea food menu, I recommend that menu to the sea food lovers)( very good), Facilities: Gym was pretty clean, and equipped well, BTW if you want to use the pool you should use your own sleepers ( anyway I mark it as good) Staff: polite ( Their manner is polite and gentle ), the only weak point is =》 only few people can speak English, but they all want to help you. ( Ok) Location: Nice, quite secure, ( very good). Note: Do not visit the city centre at after 9 pm. Transportation ; if you come from airport, arrange the hotel bus ( the taxis might charge you extra [ around 20 usd]). For city trip please ask the reception to call a taxi for you. There is no taxi meter, so you should agree the taxi fare in advance. Note: This is a no-smoking hotel. And smoking allowed only at front yard. @ Kaloum hotel. Thank you guys, you changed my Guinea experience. Sorry I can't share the picture of my room as my things are all over the room( I enjoy my privacy).

We spent 4 nights at the hotel. The room was comfortable; the bathroom very good. Our room had a balcony looking out on the pool and the ocean. The staff were attentive and polite. The wi-fi worked well. There is a breakfast buffet which has a bit of everything though neither special nor extensive. A particular benefit of the hotel is that it is walking distance to the jetty where boats leave for visits to the islands off Conakry. I understand that one can arrange island tours through the hotel. We were visiting local friends who did it on their own without assistance from the hotel. The hotel is close to the central Kaloum area. But, getting around Conakry is not easy given that a portion of the city, including where the hotel is, lies at the end of a cape. Coming and going with our friends who lived in the Lambanyi area was time-consuming - even apart from the general traffic in the city. Don't be put off by the long, bumpy road leading to the hotel. We were very happy with the Petit Bateau and would stay there again.

it is not the first time I write a review on this hotel. I regularly stay on average 4 weeks at the time at this hotel. RECEPTION : well organised and make you feel at home right from your arrival. Accommodating and flexible staff. ROOM: very spacious suites. They are all suites averaging 45m2 each, rooms are very clean. Staff is honest and for the past 5 years I have lost anything from the room. RESTAURANT: waiters are very efficient and professional.Well timed and work very well amongst themselves: testament oto the Manager and assistant Manager organisation skills. The F&B Manager is one of the reasons this hotel is the best in Conakry and does not have nothing to envy other hotels in Dubai or elsewhere. HE IS THE DRIVING FORCE for this hotel. CUISINE: Executive Chef is very attentive to everyone needs. His menu is well researched and executed to perfection. He trained his assistants very well and with respect. LOUNGE: the lounge bar is the IN thing to be on weekends , anniversary, birthdays . Service is very good and staff is very professional. Again Manager of the lounge trained well his staff. They serve fresh SUSHIS and they have an oriental menu as well as a well diversified seafood menu. I strongly recommend this hotel for your stay in Conakry

As soon as I made my reservation on Booking, I was asked whether I wanted a free airport transfer. The driver was waiting with a name sign. This bed & breakfast occupies the 5th & 6th floor of the UCAR building in Kaloum. Taxi drivers working in the area know it as the Skye Bank building. With taxi drivers from other parts of town, use restaurant Le Spécial or the Senegalese Mosque as a reference. The area surrounding the hotel is safe to walk around, even at night. My corner room on the 5th floor was spacious & well appointed, and featured a nice sitting area. The kitchenette lacked all kitchen utensils. I had no intention of cooking anyway, but appreciated the mid-sized empty fridge. The A/C unit efficiently kept the room cool. The small shower cubicle offered nice & hot water. The room offered plenty of electrical sockets, all European style. The sole negative was that my double bed was actually 2 single beds pushed together. Breakfast was included in the room rate. Breakfast consists of a croissant, half a baguette, butter & melted cheese, coffee with milk & sugar, as well as orange juice. There's no restaurant, but take-away can be ordered from nearby restaurant Le Spécial. In the owner's absence, the hotel is run by a Tunisian couple. They were extremely helpful with arranging my overland transfer to Freetown. They gave me my personal WiFi router when the hotel WiFi wasn't functioning. In a city where accommodation is ridiculously overpriced, Résidence Sandervalia offers no frills rooms at reasonable rates, with great personal service. Recommended!
