Reviews on Fusion food in San Lorenzo de El Escorial, Community of Madrid, Spain. San Lorenzo de El Escorial is home to the Monastery of El Escorial, a World Heritage site. This huge complex was built as a monument to commemorate the Spanish victory over the French in the battle of Saint Quentin. Construction lasted 21 years and when it was finished in 1584, the Monastery was the largest building in the world, with 24 km (14.9 mi) of corridors. The building includes a library, Kings' Courtyard, Basilica, and the Palace of Felipe II. The Kings' Pantheon is the burial place for most of the kings of Spain since Carlos I. The Monastery is decorated with works by the most prominent Italian and Spanish painters of the time. Look for works by Titian, Bosch, El Greco, and Velázquez, especially El Greco’s painting of "The Martyrdom of St. Maurice.”

Vesta Taberna is a restaurant where you will find signature cuisine, very pampered and tasty with the best selection of local products, traditional and avant-garde recipes. Our Menu usually changes almost daily. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming.
Great Spanish typical food on a great location. Highly recommended after visiting San Lorenzo de El Escorial. The staff is super friendly and the food generous, mixing "neo-bistrot" and "castizo" styles. Try local artisanal beers and bio wines as well, you won't be disappointed!

Japanese cuisine is not just sushi and makis. At Yamaoka they bring together a new look at japanse food: tuna and avocado tartar, seaweed salad, teriyaki beef, vegetables tempura... The gourmet menu has all this and more: between 5 and 7 courses plus dessert, and they change it often enough so we have to keep going again and again. It's 20 euros plus drinks ( they serve Asahi beer), and unlike gourmet menus anywhere else, you won't leave with an empty belly.Anyway, the menu is long enough and you can order a la carte as well. They have an inner terrace, not visible from outside.

Our first visit to El Escorial and our first visit to Mombar based on TA recommendations.Well worth it. Superb service, wine and food. Beautiful lentil and salmon salad and the vegetarian pizza was out of this world. Lovely white wine to go with the food. We will definitely be going back on this trip.

I will declare an interest as I live in San Lorenzo de El Escorial and have become friends with the owners since this restaurant opened earlier in the year but I don't think you can find better value-for-money in the pueblo. In terms of price, it is middle-ranking for the town, not the cheapest but certainly not expensive. The lunchtime 'menu del dia' (there are two at â¬12 and â¬15) are excellent value and there are outstanding dishes, one particularly simple but standout desert is the Flan de Baileys (basically a Baileys' flavoured creme caramel-style desert). Unlike many Spanish restaurants, particularly those in the middle price range which will focus solely on meat and fish/seafood regardless of how good the chef is, there are some vegetarian options. I can recommend the pimentos filled with goat cheese, which are available as 'raciones'. The wine and beer selection is limited but certainly adequate. Thanks a lot for your opinión ;) We hope to see you again son!! We are working very hard to find the finest wines and beers for our restaurant and we are expanding our range Little by Little ;)
