My wife and I have dined at River Terrace quite a few times over the past two years and have come to the conclusion that it is strictly a "hit or miss" place. That is, it will be fantastic one visit, and mediocre or worse the next time. Generally speaking you can't go wrong with the "Seafood Trinity" or the "Crawfish & Shrimp Étouffée". Stay away from the blackened fish as it is almost always overcooked and bone dry. Wish I could give it a five star rating (as I did after the first time we went there), but the inconsistency is something that can't be overlooked. In addition, although it is a nice environment with friendly owners and generally good wait staff, it is still quite pricy when compared to similar restaurants in Nashville.

My brother loves pie. He always orders pie from this shop. The prices are expensive, I think, but the pie is delicious. We ordered the banana cream, coconut cream and a blueberry pie. They were all delicious and we ate them all quickly. The shop is cute but not a lot of things in stock. I think they make some stuff and then sell it out for the day.

Excellent staff, knowledgeable across the board of beans, herbs, coffees and teas. Staff remembers names, orders and has a great system in place to reward frequent buyers. Savory pastries from the Windmill Bakery make this a one stop shop. Forget Starbucks, Muletown Coffee is what's hip.

In early November, on a trip south to visit family in Florida, we toured the President James Polk home in Columbia, TN. A docent there told us about this nearby cafe, recommending the awesome chicken salad. Located on the square surrounding the old courthouse, this cafe has friendly staff and delicious fresh food. On our first visit we took advantage of a sunny day to sit at an outdoor table. We each ordered the half-sandwich/salad combo. The half sandwich on yummy wheatberry bread was so huge, I couldn’t imagine anyone ever eating a whole one. And the salad had loads of yummy toppings not usually found on a side salad.
We enjoyed our lunch so much that on our return trip home at the end of the month we stopped again for lunch. We highly recommend this cafe if you’re anywhere in the vicinity of Columbia, Tennessee.

Stopped in here several times during a one week visit to the area. I had been visiting one of there competitors previously. This place has great food and beverage choices, open more often, and the staff always friendly. Will definitely be in my list when I return to the area.

My wife and I drove down from Nashville one morning and were so glad we did. The food was good, but the coziness and feel of home at this place is worth the visit. My wife and I really enjoyed seeing all the memorabilia. Staff was friendly, food was affordable. When we visit TN again, we will definitely be back.

I was visiting friends in the Nashville area and after lunch in Columbia, we were looking for some tasty desert! Windmill Bakery was the perfect choice! They had a wonderful selection of bakery treats. My daughters really loved their red velvet and chocolate cupcakes. I was also delighted that they also had a number of gluten free options! I opted for the gluten free oatmeal muffin and it was amazing! It had a light and fluffy texture with a delicious topping. I would highly recommend the Windmill Bakery!

Had a wonderful time! Old college friends drove in from Kentucky to surprise my husband-for his birthday. Puckett’s did not disappoint with its food, atmosphere and live ? music! Surprised my friends that little ole Columbia, Tennessee, could have such a great place!

Found this gem through good reviews. What a delight this place is. Firstly, the service was impeccable!!! Basically 5 star service in the little town of Columbia. The food was incredibly fresh and delicious. We went for the buffet. Everything was homemade and beyond yummy!!!
The only downfall was the price. I had seen an advertisement online for this place which is what drew me into try it. Unfortunately, the stated the buffet was $10/pp including drink and review. Needless to say, I was SHOCKED when I received the bill and it was basically double. I brought it to my servers attention. She said that it is an unsolicited advertisement. That they have no control over it and have tried to remove it.
Soooooo..the food and service is GREAT. Just be prepared to pay for it.
