The hubs and I took a chance on Stage Stop while out hiking today. The hostess was kind and welcoming. Our server was attentive and polite. The menu was promising. There were actual options created by someone with culinary skill. I don't eat burgers often and had my mind made up pretty much before I sat down that I wanted one despite the other tempting choices. And since it was lunch, I didn't feel like going the full plated dinner route. The hubs wanted a Reuben. We order and everything seems fine aside from the occasional song lyric being belted out by the cook. It could have been humorous or perhaps a bit endearing had she not also proceeded to shout expletives at her coworkers and loudly express extreme disdain for our menu choices. She literally said to the server "You know what's good on the menu? Anything besides burgers!" I had asked for a small diet accommodation, a bunless burger, and while my food was being prepared she was heard to say "I don't care. Make it as messy as you want. Don't do anything special with it." Our food arrived and it looked promising. However, my medium rare burger was raw. And I do not mean rare, I mean bleu. It was cold in the middle. I ate what I could and fed the rest to my dogs. I wasn't going to send it back for fear of what would happen to it. While we were eating, Heather, the cook, could be heard loudly discussing a food poisoning case with a coworker, complete with vomit and diarrhea talk. LOVELY! I told our server upon paying that perhaps the cook was unaware that we could hear everything she said but 80% of it was rude, crude, or disgusting. And it was completely inappropriate. This poor dear just shrunk and apologized on behalf of this cretin saying that she, Heather, the cook just doesn't care. And she suggested we try coming back another time in the evening as she works mornings. There's no cook in the world worth this kind of poor business practice and horrible customer experience. Not even Gordon Ramsey would have behaved like that. It was unconscionable. This place has amazing potential but that piece of work in the kitchen needs to go.
This place has history, the building was the old joining towns stage coach stop! Great bar, pool table, music was cool! Mellow vibes! The food was very good and prices reasonable!

Really basic food and lousy service. I was a fan of Dot's Diner in Boulder years ago so I gave this one a try on a recent visit to Nederland. I ordered the breakfast sandwhich and it was balnd at best. The serive was slow either though I was the only person in the restaurant. The coffee was not the best either. There are other places open for breakfast in Nederland that do a much better job so I would pass on Dot's Diner on the Mountain. The funny thing is nobody says anything to your face they eat they pay they smile and say thank you.if there is or was anything we could have done to make your experience better should have let us know. Recipes are the same as dots ever was, coffee organic and 10 dollars a pound locally roasted...etc

We have been a music venue since out opening in 1971. Many famous musicians have played here, and we have stories to share with you. Our music is live from 10pm-1am at least three days a week. Every Tuesday, we host an Open Mic Night and every Thursday an
Oh my, the French fries are fresh and crisp! If you do not drink, the place doesnât have the best atmosphere - I do not drink. Anyway my husbandâs chicken fried steak with sides of roasted red potatoes and a veggie of the day was very much to his liking and my buffalo burger with the grilled bun was a big hit. The man next to us said his fried catfish was delicious! Great food here but donât expect family atmosphere. By the way, an older guy (âJamestownâ) was our server and he was fast, friendly and efficient. I would DEFINITELY come here again and ask for the same server.

We parked near a community garden and found this lovely deli! French dip and pas/marbled rye with coleslaw! Lovely staff, great digs with nice music and back is small balcony looking at the Boulder Creek and community garden! Wonderful, wonderful!!!

Always Delicious, Not Necessarily Nutritious. Serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner; every day 7 am - 9 pm
Service a bit pokey. Seemed like it took longer than it should have to create a burger and fries. Place was busy but not packed. The burger was quite good when it came though. Decent value considering you're in the mountains, where everything's more expensive.

This is my second trip to Nederland in 4 years. There is great hiking and accommodations in this area. This is also my second trip to Crosscut. The pizzas here are not like pizzas anywhere else. The atmosphere and straightforward friendly service coupled with great pizza and a very nice broad tap selection makes it a Colorado favorite of mine.
