Thornton is 10 miles (16 km) north/northeast of downtown Denver. I was hesitant to give this spot a try after reading some of the reviews. I'm glad I did. I would give it 4.5. The burger is thin, but so are freddy's and other popular trendy places. This is not a trendy place. It is old school, with the neon to prove it. While old, it was reasonably clean, 50's music playing and the staff was fairly friendly.

This diner in located in an industrial neighborhood and therefore gets several local workers. The food is good and seems to be prepared there (real sliced fried breakfast potatoes..not the frozen kind) Prices are reasonable and servings are quite large..may wanna split if you canât take leftovers with you. The breakfast burrito is on the spicy side..the sausage gravy is more like a country gravy but the biscuits are very good.

This is a very nice change from the mass produced garbage breakfast places. Only 17 tables, it's a clean simple place with very good service and solid filling food. American and Mexican choices for the most part, I had NY steak and eggs prepared rare to order, wife had Machaca made with ground beef, a bit different but it had a nice spice to it. We will definitely be back to try other items and experience the nice service. Recommended if you don't mind wearing your John Deere hat to table. Good food and nice people what more do you want? They do need a few pictures on the wall, though, to help add to the experience.

The reviews were spot on. Great food, reasonable prices, and the staff was friends and efficient. The banana bread French toast was terrific. Thumbs up from everyone in our party of 9. Give it a try.

There were 8 of us in our family group. Our server spoke to us about the in house cocktail menu, so we all tried one, and they were pretty good.Unfortunately I got my times wrong and we had to travel to the hockey game.I spoke to our server about our dilemma he checked with the kitchen and they kindly made our meals into take out packs in a short amount of time.We had to eat on the run, and the food was great.It's a shame we could not have dined in as the atmosphere was pretty cool, given we do not have anything like this where we live in New Zealand. Stopped on a whim bc we love old diners. We loved the ambience and our server was friendly. The food portions are huge and appeared quickly. It was tasty and we liked each of our orders. We serve a great breakfast, lunch and dinner. Our Big Bopper Special on Monday through Friday is the best breakfast deal in town, bar none. We have had breakfast here several times and have never been disappointed. Wait times can sometimes be a little long at popular times because they have been discovered by the locals. The portions are big enough to share or take some home.
