The Gunnisack Cowboy Bistro Restaurant and Bar features an original "from-scratch" approach including;Angus Beef Burgers ground fresh in-house and served on house-baked sesame buns, soups, sauces, chili's and dressings all made from scratch. The menu is c
This place was one of the best places we stopped for in CO. It was friendly, clean and relaxed. Everything here was great tasting and the prices were reasonable. The main street mac bake was probably the best dish we had on our ten day vacation trip through the West. We also had a great burger and bbq pork tacos with pineapple salsa that were really good too. They had local awards on the wall for about a decade + worth of best chicken fried steak also.

Good size chef salad for take out at lunch. Lots of meat and ingredients were fresh tasting. Good side order of guacamole too. Fair price for what I received.

Stopped by one afternoon for a drink. Wasn't looking for food and thought I'd try a sampling of their beers, so I bought a flight. To me, it was pretty average, although the bartender was friendly and helpful in selecting the beers to try. I'm a fan of darker brews and they only had a couple on tap at the time of my visit. Seemed to be a popular place and the outdoor upstairs balcony looked inviting for a sunny day. Unfortunately, a big thunderstorm preventing checking it out.Hi Charles,Thank you for your review? Sorry that we didn't have a larger selection of dark beers for you. During the warmer months, we don't have much of a demand for dark beers. We do, however, have our annual "Stouts of November" coming soon, which will provide three different stouts this year, including our extremely limited and very popular, The Matron. We hope you'll join us again so we can bring your rating up to a higher number.Cheers,Scott COwner/Brewmaster

My wife and I had breakfast at the Nugget Cafe while vacationing in the area. We were with a local couple that recommended the restaurant for breakfast while we were traveling through the Colorado mountain passes near the Great Divide. The food was delicious and the staff was friendly. We enjoyed the rustic atmosphere. We ate well! The location seemed very much off-the-beaten path to me, but I'm unfamiliar with the area. It seemed like a gem of a restaurant in the mountains of Colorado.

I've been here twice, once it was busy and once it was nearly empty. The service was awful both time. I feel really badly for the wait staff it's clearly a management that put profit over custom satisfaction Nice deck and good food. Just have plenty of time.Sorry your visit was not all that you hoped. I will pass this information on to management to attend to.

We stopped for lunch while waiting to leave for our river raft trip down the Upper Taylor River. Everyone enjoyed our lunch of burgers and drinks.
