Birthday dinner for the hubby. Recommended by a CO Springs local. Attention to every detail by owner and servers. Server guided us through menu with confidence. Food was excellent. Not an inexpensive place. Be prepared to spend but worth every cent. Carlos is fantastic as is his staff

The wait staff and sommelier were very friendly, engaging, and knowledgeable. However, our private room kept being walked through by other patrons trying to find a shortcut to the lavatory. As there was no signage on the door to redirect people, it happened several times throughout our event. Otherwise, the food quality was high and it was delicious.

This was our second time dining at La Taverne, and it was worth the return visit. Peter, our waiter, was most accommodating with our low-salt request. And he was amiable as well. Hubby enjoyed the deliciously prepared scallops. (Yes, delicious scallops in a land-locked state, whoâd have thought?!). I thoroughly enjoyed the cavatelli with vegetables that was a mosaic of colorsâalmost too pretty to eat. Bread basket had a large variety. This is one of our two favorite restaurants on the Broadmoor property. Itâs a keeper!

The restaurant is easily located downtown Colorado Springs which we stumbled upon walking around the city exploring our first time here. The lunch was a perfect ending to our long hike we just finished. The bartender was very nice and attentive. We tried the teriyaki skewers and the crab tower which were both delectable. The crab was real and the avocado was fresh. We would definitely recommend if in the area.
