My husband and I were on our way to Denver for a Billy Joel concert and we stopped at Tequila's Family Mexican Restaurant for lunch. I ordered the lunch chicken burrito and my husband ordered the lunch chicken chimichanga. We had an appetizer of chips, salsa and cole slaw. The chicken burrito was large and was served with no beans or rice. The burrito had rice inside. The chicken was finely shredded and moist. The chimichanga came with rice and beans. The rice was not hot at all. The chips, salsa and cole slaw was good. We really enjoyed the food and we even stopped back on the way home from Denver. The service was friendly and fast. We'd go back.Thank you for detailing your plate experience so well, there's always room to improve and we need to know where!we hope you stop again on your next trip!

This restaurant is located in the picturesque downtown area of Trinidad, CO. The restaurant is modern style and attractively decorated. We had dinner, hamburgers, at the bar. The meals were hot and delicious. We enjoyed the marvelous selection of local craft beers, too. The service was friendly and spot on (Sarah). It was a very enjoyable evening.

Trinidad is a ghost town on Monday night. The ONLY restaurant open was The Mission at the Bell so in we went. Itâs a Mexican joint so the chips and salsa showed up with the menus. Beer and wine soon followed. The salsa was excellent and had a good bite. Wife ordered the Monday Taco special and I went with enchiladas. Food finally hit the table forty minutes later. But it was so fresh and so delicious I can almost forgive them. There wasnât a large crowd and our waitress was friendly but inattentive. The food was a bit spicy which I love, but be warned. Still â the finest Mexican dinner Iâve had in many moons.

Monica let me off here because I was taking the last train to Kansas/Clarksville, (the Monkeys), with dining on the train - all I needed was liquid. Turns out the cup doubled as my cocktail glass! I have a mobile bar. Party everywhere you can.... Habanero's is located at the Amtrak boarding platform/TRINIDAD, and I recommend stopping inside before the train arrives, so you can get a drink while you wait for "Casey Jones" (Grateful Dead!) Keep partying; those taillights ahead are mine! TW

Family Seed. That's what came out of the brainstorming session when deciding on a name? Companions had reasonable Mexican food, but I had the great misfortune of deciding to try the Italian sausage sandwich. Truly the worst ever excuse for an Italian sausage sandwich ever. There is no atmosphere at this restaurant, so if you do have to go here because friends force you then stick with the Mexican fare.
