From the creators of the legendary Sweet Basil in Vail Colorado, comes a fresh, innovative new restaurant. Aptly named Mountain Standard, this rustic and relaxed tavern aims to set a new standard in the Vail valley by using an ancient form of cooking. The
Mountain Standard has become one of our go-to spots whenever we are in Vail. We're grateful that it stays open in the off-season, when a lot of retailers and restaurants are closed. Everything here is great, from simple salads, to burgers, to the scallops that were on special during our latest trip. Highly recommend this spot!!

Wanted something quick that wouldn't break the bank for a family of 4. This was an easy walk from the Marriott. We got there at about 5:40, and were lucky to get a table--it was packed by the time we left at 6:30. Had the pulled pork platter with 2 sides--baked beans and cole slaw, and a piece of cornbread. All were good, and it came with a drink--great value for $12, especially in Vail. Cozy place with a little bar, but not a ton of seating indoors. Would definitely go again!

The restaurant was already quite busy when we arrived and nobody was there to welcome us. However staff was very nice and warm when they finally seated us.We had a table in the corner next to the glass doors which was a great view to Gore Creek but extremely cold. Our waitress was very nice and attentive in the beginning, but after some time it was very difficult to get her or any collegues attention for extra sour cream for potatoes etc.The prime rib is the specialty and both my husband and I ordered that with baked potatoes on the side and also a Wedge salad to share. I keep forgetting how HUGE American portions are, and when the plates arrived there was food for double as many people. I really dislike this kind of food waste, but Lancelot is just like all other restaurants in the US, so not particular blaming them here. The meat was absolutely delicious and what's not to like about a good old baked potato! I can highly recommend this. If you're European, just get the smallest cut and don't have a starter first. We didn't have dessert and honestly it was because it was too cold to stay.We hope to dine here again next time in Vail, I will just ask for a different table.

I can't come to Vail without stopping at Bully's. I was here twice during this trip...once for lunch on a Sunday and again for drinks and appetizers with my Son. I love this place because the setting is so beautiful and peaceful. I had to get away from the crowd at the Farmers Market, and this was ideal. A glass of wine and the Ale Battered Fish and Fries is always a winner and once again, I was not disappointed. Service is friendly and attentive without hovering and I never feel rushed. Again, my Son and I stopped here for drinks and an appetizer on our last evening in town. Our Server didn't seemed thrilled that we were not there for dinner, but nonetheless she provided gracious service. Our Appetizer of Artichoke and Spinach (served hot in a crock) was very flavorful and was an extremely generous portion, served with chips...looked like the same ones I buy at my local Safeway. I'm not complaining (just observing) and altogether both experiences were excellent and I look forward to another visit to Bully's next year. Thanks for still being there!!Dear Nancy H,Thank you for your wonderful review! Agreed, when wanting to step away from the busy street, the Bully Ranch is the perfect location, especially with its beautiful outside patio. Nancy, be assured we will continue to be there and hope we will continue to never disappoint you. RegardsDanijela McGinley

Came in for vacation with our family and just wanted a close Mexican meal. This was expensive and yucky!! Disappointed. Wish I had checked trip advisor before we went.
