We had dinner at Thai Gold Restaurant two days in a roll. We enjoyed the atmosphere and the servers are very friendly. The food was sweet but acceptable. Papaya salad was tasty and Lad Na had a large portion. Overall, it was a great experience.

It's located in a hard-to-reach little strip mall, but it's really worth the effort. The service staff is great: Friendly, courteous and attentive. The ambiance is modern Thai, bright and comfortable. They have a reasonable, although not extensive, beer and wine list. The food is very, very good. We started with the Chicken Satay, which consisted of fairly large, but tender and flavorful, slices of marinated and lightly grilled chicken breast with a great peanut sauce. We also had the equally delicious Heavenly Beef Rolls!! The Angel Hair Pad Thai, with soft-shell crab, was super tasty...maybe a touch on the sweet side; while the Kho Soi Kai (Northern Thai curry) was chock full of flavorful noodles, shredded chicken and other stuff. Their medium spice setting is quite tangy. If you don't like too much heat, go with mild. The Fried Banana dessert was quite tasty, but obviously not homemade. The banana chunks were still partially frozen.

I had the Tom Yum and some sort of curry that I cannot recall at this time. Both dishes were delectable and I would definitely dine here again when in Golden!
This is NOT the Peking "Express".This is a small independent restaurant in a small strip of stores. It has gone through several owners but the current owners are doing a wonderful job. I have now tried all of their regular shrimp dishes and they are all excellent. The service, food quality, food presentation, food temperature, and physical ambiance are all excellent. Highly recommended.
