The service was pretty good, at the bar and at our table. The menu had some dishes that sounded delicious and we were excited. However for the pricey menu I had high expectations. The food was average and did not match the prices. It wasnât bad but we certainly could have had a much better dinner for $210 (party of 4). Dear AZGirl0674,Thank you for taking the time to review your recent visit to Hickory & Ash. We are disappointed your food did not meet your expectations and hope you will consider dining with us again, so we can provide you with the quality experience you deserve.Kevin & Denise Taylor, Owners

Our service for party of six was woefully inadequate. When we were seated the hostess said if our server looked like he was having trouble taking care of us they would help out. What was this all about? Certainly started out in the wrong direction. Service was indeed not good, but the staff didnât help out. Miscounted number of waters. The missing one never arrived. Drinks came only after we asked about it. Salmon was undercooked for two. Food came out not all at once, so some in the party had a cold entree. They looked about half full, with plenty of staff, so seems like managerial issues.Thank you so much for your feedback. We are so sorry that your experience did not meet our high standards. Would you be so kind to send your contact information to Paige at [email protected] so a member of our operations team can reach out to invite you in for the experience you deserve? We really value your feedback and hope to hear from you soon.

Saltgrass Steak House is an award-winning steakhouse in Westminster, CO famous for serving Certified Angus Beef® steaks. Each steak is cooked to perfection with Saltgrass-7 Steak Spice, and topped with garlic butter. All breads, dressings, soups and desse
My wife and I at Saltgrass regularly and bring guest occasionally. I am a member of their Select Club, a no cost membership which gives perks. Saltgrass is primarily a steakhouse. It reminds me of the independent steakhouse throughout the Western US.The food is usually what one would expect as far as quality of ingredients and preparation. One item of contention is with their Texas cheese steak sandwich, which my wife and I enjoy. A few months back they started serving it on a metal tray with a paper liner. The presentation looked cheap and since this is a fork and knife meal, one ends up with much shredded paper, ewe. Last time we ordered this meal we asked if it could be served on a normal plate without the liner. The server accommodated our request without a flinch. The service is usually prompt and always polite. The price is what you would expect from a steakhouse. This isnât a discount dining experience, but is in line with most.I like the atmosphere. It is clean and cozy. Some people might be put off by the trophy heads on the wall or the country music. As I said earlier this is a local favorite of ours.

How have I managed to miss the Hideaway for all the years I've lived in Boulder? What a great find. We took my 101 year old mother there for her birthday and although we didn't publicize it in advance, word quickly spread and she had a visit from every server and manager (I'm convinced) wishing her well. They comped her Crown Royal and dessert. So, first, thanks much to the fantastic staff!Oh yeah. The food is fantastic, too! My wife and mother split the halibut special which was terrific. My steak was perfect. A special call out needs to go to the corn bread pudding side dish. We went retro for dessert with the Baked Alaska which caused the plate to be licked clean. The restaurant itself is warm and inviting with wood and stone. As a bonus, we could hear each other talk which is becoming a rarity these days. Yes. We'll be back!
