They call themselves a five star dive bar and that fits T Bar perfectly. They are right on the side of base trail on the mountain with both indoor and outdoor seating and service. The food is excellent and the service not so much, but that’s kind of fun! Although it’s at the bottom of the mountain, it’s a great place for lunch while skiing. And surprisingly, the prices aren’t as ridiculous as you’d think for a resort town.

We went here for lunch and I had a salad with my meal and asked for Italian dressing....it was basically oil with no other flavors or seasoning. The service was also very slow. There are many other places in Steamboat that are much better than this....we won't be returning.

Came here for drinks, stayed for the great hospitality. The drinks were amazing. My husband had 2 of the local beers and he loved them. I had the rose wine and it was great. Our waitress, Cait, was amazing. She treated us like family. She got our drinks quickly and and super friendly. When we left, I actually gave her a hug because of the the amazing service she gave us. Really glad we stopped here for a drink.

Went for dinner during Christmas break looking forward to some of our Bavarian favorites but they were out of roughly half of the beer and menu selections (e.g. Wienerschnitzel and Weißwurst). Bummer. What food they did have was fine but a long way from ‘authentic’ so manage your expectations if you’ve had the real thing. Good music on open mic night. Super loud. Thumbs up on the shared long table seating.

Carl's Tavern

A place for the hungry. The thirsty. The legendary. Some people actually think the Wright Brothers perfected human flight. Around here, we all know better. Carl Howelsen turned Steamboat into a playground, skis into wings, and mustaches into an art form.

On a Saturday night... we came with a group of 10 friends ready to eat and drink the evening away! We were disappointed with mediocre food and a bartender with a serious attitude problem. Trip advisor showed the hours of operation until midnight ... but at about 9:50 the bartender started slamming things around behind the bar, and at 10:00 he turned the lights on high and made sure we al knew he was ready for us to go. RUDE!! I will never come back here...

Blackened Chicken Club - Very good. Sweet potato fries were a little disappointing.Slopeside Burger - A simple but big (8oz) burger. No cheese for me. It didn't have a lot of flavor. Needed spicing up. The brioche bun didn't add much. Fries could have been crispier, which may have made them better. They were okay.Service - Escellent. Really on top of it, and very friendly.View - On this summer day, sitting outside made for a wonderful setting, looking at all the activity.Would try it again.
