First timers-very friendly staff. Managers both came over to check on us. We only had salads-one big, one smaller. But, without charging extra, our salad was made with a tortilla made right before me, and included guacamole-usually an extra everywhere else. It was a good meal, and perhaps better than similar q’doda, and del taco, or chipotle, or illegal pete’s.

This location always has great employees who keep the food hot and fresh, and serve you with a smile. One of our favorites for fast food with a bit of healthiness to it. The outdoor seating is nice when the weather is good. It is on the north side facing 88th so it is always in the shade, good for summer months.

There were five of us. We all ordered something different, and we all enjoyed our selections. The carne asada is very good. The Margaritas are real margaritas that actually have alcohol. They were very good! The plates are huge and also very hot (thermally). If you want spicy just let them know. Unless you have a huge appetite, you will need a doggy bag. The guacamole was nice and fresh. Service is very friendly.

Some good things about this restaurant are the fresh and spicy salsa. Really wonderful. I also really enjoyed the soft shredded beef taco. My big disappointment was the chili relleno. There is a choice of regular and crispy, and I assumed that since all rellenos are fried, I should order the crispy one. I was wrong. Unfortunately, what that means is that the relleno is wrapped in an eggroll wrapper before frying, so as to make it crisper I guess, which is insane! As a person who is always on the lookout for the best, most authentic chili relleno, I was sorely sad about this one! No tradition here!

Great authentic Mexican food. Unassuming dining area, but the fabulous food and friendly waitstaff are first-rate. Chicken quesedilla, burritos, fajitas were excllent. The chicken fajitas specifically were flavored perfectly. We stumbled across Luna's and were thrilled that we did.

Tripadvisor has a typo in the restaurant name - it is LAS POTRANCAS. Came here for a late lunch and was definitely impressed with the food and the service. The decor is pretty garish, with bright colors and stylized designs which is something which often puts make me wary of the food quality (so much loud colors and patterns that you think they're trying to distract you from mediocre food). That is definitely NOT the case here. Crisp tortilla chips and wonderfully fresh salsa are promptly brought to your table and they're constantly refilled at no additional charge which you don't find everywhere. There are plenty of options and combinations available on the menu, and if you want something a little different, they are more than happy to accommodate you. Our server, Teresa, was delightful and made sure we had everything we needed all the way through our meal, plus she was a lot of fun! She really added a lot to our experience here. They have several specials on the menu and there is a full bar, too. They have several vegetarian options and they can also prepare vegan meals. All of us decided our lunches were some of the best Mexican meals we'd ever had as they weren't bland and they weren't overly spicy, chock-full of fresh ingredients and wonderfully prepared. Prices are good here and you do get a lot of food. You kind of have to know where the restaurant is as it's not right on the busy street, it's located in a strip mall. But it isn't hard to find. Las Potrancas is well worth a stop if you're in the area and want a satisfying, tasty Mexican dining experience.

I got suckered in by the good reviews, and didn’t pay attention to the bad ones. Boy was that a mistake. Yes, the food is very bland “gringo” Mexican food as many others said. And yes, the green chili is so watery it’s more like green soup like so many have said. Look at the pic of the burrito I posted. The burrito plate looks like it’s brimming with water. Don’t do it folks. The only thing good about the place was the chips and the service, and it seemed clean. Everything else was mediocre and largely tasteless. If you like mediocre Tex-mex designed for dumb Americans who don’t know any better, you’ll love the place. If not, ⚡️⚡️⚡️read the negative reviews before you make a mistake. ⚡️⚡️⚡️I would have given the place 3 stars for generic tasting Mexican food, but the horrible excuse for green chili dropped it to 2 stars.

This place was just OK. The food was not overly good, but not bad either. I had a quesadilla appetizer that was quite plain Jane. My husband had a taco salad. Service was OK but not particularly attentive. Tables were tight....especially with three of us. It was busy. Noise levels were pretty high.

Fuzzy's Taco Shop

Recently tried Fuzzy's in Arvada for the first time at the suggestions of a work acquaintance. I tried three tacos: pork, chicken and grilled fish. All three were ample sized tacos with good flavor though each could have been 'amped' up a bit. I ended up adding salsa to two of them. They also had a lot of shredded lettuce. I could have done with less and simply brushed half of it off.We also ordered chips and queso with a small side of salsa. The chips are thin and cripsy. The queso was bland, tasting like plain melted Velveeta. It needed a lot more spice. You can get it with meat and I'm sure chorizo would have helped a lot though I wish the basic queso had more flavor by itself. The salsa was a bit sweet for my taste.Service was better than expected. You get a buzzer to come get your meal at the kitchen window. After picking up our chips, a worker there offered to pick up our tacos, cleared our plates, made nice conversation without being obtrusive. I wish I had her name to tell the manager.I would definitely go back for the tacos or to try another dish, but I would skip the chips and queso.
