For a small town Carmelo has at least two good restaurants - and this is one of them. Had a basic breakfast of tostado y cortado - and after so many times I know this is one of the best ever. Returned the next night for a milanese - also great. The staff ere attentive without being over the top

Came here for dinner on the recommendation of friends. The pizza was great - you can choose from several different options of size, base and toppings. I enjoyed being able to choose toppings myself to make a DIY pizza, rather than having to go for a set combination! Service was good and it is a small, cosy restaurant (it was actually warm in the winter when we were there, unlike nearly everywhere else!). The prices were extremely reasonable - one of the best value meals we had in Uruguay. My only issue was that the menu didn't include any salad options to accompany the pizza, and also they could do with getting a proper black pepper grinder, some oregano flakes etc to add if you like.
