We met here to go on a snorkel excursion during a recent cruise. After looking at the menu we decided to return for lunch after the excursion. I'm so glad we did! The staff were all so nice and accommodating! Being right off the beach they actually had shower stalls to wash the salt water off which was much appreciated after being on the water for several hours. I had the fried shrimp and it was probably the best shrimp I've every had. My husband got 3 lobster tails which he said were really good, fries, and rice for $15 (American). It was an overall wonderful experience and we would definitely eat here again!
Karla, Nauticos owner along with her husband, has been trained by famous chefs that worked in the US Embassy, won scholarships to study in other countries, and is a highly creative and adventurous chef. In a Central American small city, almost at roads end, we get to eat sushi, Thai, authentic Honduran, Chinese food - all very delicious and a treat for us world travellers. Don't be afraid to come to Trujillo Honduras - it's nothing like the big cities.
Situated at the Beach, basic interior and young staff who are not motivated, food was ok... fired food mostly and local guests brought their own drinks with them, I payed a different price every time I ordered a drink, each staff member had their own price-list... and the US$ price was more than double the local price... a cocktail we tried was not drinkable, we are used to a different quality...well they showed european football which was good...the wlan was a flop
