Nice area to stay
Reviewed By wallflower69Very close to a big supermarket/wine shop, as well as the railway track and the view of the sea! Great opportunity to grab a beer and catch the sunset and the trains passing by :) Check-in guy (looks like the boss) wasn't very friendly, but the other staff were cool. Room looks exactly like the pictures, and breakfast was better than expected. Pleasantly surprised that we had a balcony which overlooks the street below.

Reviewed By schnappokappoWe had a pleasant stay @ The Pallet House. Quiet location in suburb of Colombo - it takes about 20 minutes to get with the Tuk Tuk downtown (use only metered vehicels). Beach is close to acommodation.

Sayura House is a welcoming retreat for travelers and businessmen seeking a quiet, relaxing place amidst the hustle and bustle of Colombo. Sayura House is conveniently located just a 1 minute walk from the ocean and offers a total of 12 rooms with a cozy garden lobby and a breezy rooftop with an ocean view. Sayura House is in Colombo 6, about 15 minutes from the financial center, 45-60 minutes from airport. Taxis, tuk-tuks and public transportation are nearby and readily available. Shops, supermarkets, restaurants and little eateries are a short walk away, as well as interesting Hindu and Buddhist temples. We offer free WiFi throughout the whole property as well as free private parking with advance reservation. We can offer fax and printing services for our business guests. We strive to provide our guests the services and amenities that they may need, either for free or at reasonable prices.
An oasis of peace and calm
Reviewed By Ellie1485In every way Sayura House was an excellent start to a visit touring Sri Lanka and has given every other hotel something to live up to. I landed at 4.30am, my husband having arrived the day earlier, and the hotel had arranged a driver to collect me. Even at 5.45 am the night porter greeted me with a warm smile and cool fruit juice. Our room was clean and comfortable and had everything we could have needed, including a kettle for hot drinks. There’s a pretty courtyard to eat in, or to sit in the evening. We had breakfast each day which was well presented and very good. The location is out of town, but it’s easy to get a taxi, tuk tuk, or train. There are local restaurants- try Chola, it’s excellent. The beach is literally two minutes away. Mount Lavinia beach in the other direction is also easily accessible and well worth a visit. The hotel has a roof terrace, a great place to watch the sunset and the ocean, and to read a book. What lifted this from very good to great was the attitude of all of the team, led by the awesome Gamini the manager. Nothing was too much trouble and every interaction was friendly, smiling and welcoming. We’d both highly recommend this hotel.

Reviewed By ExpandingFootstepsHad a lovely stay here, the best aspect were the staff, very helpful and caring. Andrew, the manager made sure we were well looked after and chatted to us as well. Clean room with a good shower, nice breakfast and quiet location. Would stay again :)

His expertise far ranging from western to local cuisine.. The place causes anyone stepping into the location to automatically relax in a distinctively different environment.. Its different to any boutique guest house one may locate in Colombo. You can come and experience the difference. Staff treat you with Passion and care and CEO Dilhan Senaratne assures the safety and care of all his guest with a personal touch of care and oversight.

Reviewed By Mohammad Sadiq SOne night earlier I called and booked one room for 1500 Rupees, but when I came he suddenly increased the price to 2500 Rupee. And finally after a long discussion he accepted my price. Secondly, the area is not fine. When u get out during the night then u don't feel safe. Thirdly, the reception is on the 5 floor. No Towel, No wifi
