My husband and I walked over from our hotel after making a dinner reservation the day before. Excellent location and very friendly service. The English menu was helpful. We shared the Cacio and Pepe pasta which was delicious. We also had the asparagus and hearts of palm appetizers. It was a delightful dinner, yummy pasta. Enjoy!

Finding the place is not easy because there no good street signs showing where the entrance to the parking garage is located ! The restaurant and shop are attractive,the food we ordered was really good,prices on the high side but wines are outrageouslyexpensive (a glass of o good argentine red wine cost approx. USD 12).

Bogota has many great restaurants and I found it difficult which one to select... we went for this one as we were all after meat today.I will begin by saying the welcome is very warm as you enter the restaurant ... you are showed to your table and immediately presented with menus, but not in a rush way.The food is a little above average price, but was very goodThe best part of this restaurant is the service and staff.... I love restaurants where any members of the staff can deal with you. We had someone greet us at the table, someone supply us with a menu, someone who took our order, and maybe another to deliver the food.Out every whim was catered too, and that is what I look for when dining at a do-called top class restaurant.I would highly recommend this restaurant if you are looking for meat!!! The fillet mignon was excellent!!!!The whole experience was excellent and I would certainly recommend this restaurant very highly!

After starting our Colombia trip in Bogotá and having our last night here before flying home we wanted to end on a special evening and Tapas Macarena delivered! The food was out of this world delicious and the service was fantastic thanks to Gabriel! The restaurant is small so you have to book or turn up early and it is sooo worth it! Some of the best food Iâve had in a long time and the best wine! Probs the best food I ate in Colombia!! Thank you for choosing us for your last dinner. In deed, Tapas Macarena is a small place, with great food. We cook as if we were at home, welcoming our guests. I am English, which is why I rate this restaurant so highly. The owner has worked as a chef in London hotels so this is the only restaurant I know in Bogota where can find genuine British cuisine such as a steak and kidney pie. Also, the portions are generous and the prices are reasonable.

Matiz restautant is set in a charming historical building that has been extended tastefully. We had a table in the winter garden, by an artificial waterfall, which was beautiful. The waiters were very attentive and charming. And the menu was amazing â we would have loved to pick each and every meal. Needless to say the food was delicious and did justice to their reputation as seafood specialists.

We went here for our last night in Colombia, not a Colombian ending, but an incredible one non the less. The owner is a fantastic host who goes overboard to make sure you feel at home, giving recommendations and explaining everything on the menu. He speaks English but also helped us practice our Spanish. The food did not disappoint, go for anything with the homemade pesto (that was amazing), the gnocchi and pizza were also really good. For two starters, two main dishes and two drinks we paid 77.000 (not the cheapest but definitely worth it!). Do not hestitate to go here! Thanks for your kind comments.
