Good price, great location, kind staff. I can’t think of a better place to stay than this one, really good visit. They also have a restaurant and the dishes were good and cheap. The breakfast included was also very good.

Follow the path around the left side of the bullring. After 5 more minutes you will see a lookout point perched on the edge of the canyon. Then just follow the main path (which will at times zig-zag down), cross the Colca River and follow the road uphill until you come to a pathway leading to the left. Then you will find an other bridge - cross the Huaruro River, and 5 minutes later you will see the entrance to Llahuar Lodge. Look for the hot springs. Most people will take 3 to 5 hours from Cabanaconde to Llahuar.
Hot springs were great and price quality ratio for the room was ok. However, the service was horrible. The lady at the reception clearly didn’t like her job as she was constantly grumpy and she spoke/understood not 1 word English. The streetdogs were very aggresive and while we were sitting at the table they started fighting underneath our table and biting etc. We did not receive 1 “are you ok” or anything, they were just laughing. There was no concern for our safety and they made very little effort to make us enjoy our stay.

La Granja del Colca is located at 5 minutes from La Cruz del Condor Viewpoin, we have 11 rooms with private bathroom, restaurante, camping area, parking space, viewpoint to the Colca Canyon
This place if full of charm and beauty. Located in a pristine area of the Colca Canyon with beautiful views of the valley below. Greenery and flowers are everywhere you turn and you can see that so much love and hard work have helped create this magical place as it exudes positive energy and pure delight. The food was delicious and the views while you enjoy your meals are extraordinary.

The place itself is ok but the service is horror, especially from the owner, who: ⁃ Didn’t want to give me a room with private bathroom, because I couldn’t share my room with anyone (our tour group had an uneven number). Hence, I was the only one that had to use the outside bathroom, which is a 5-minute walk, and only had cold water in the shower; ⁃ The vegetarian meals are really light, just a few cooked vegetables. When I asked for some extra rice because I needed a heavier meal, especially after a hike of 6 hours, the owner didn’t want to give this; ⁃ 3 times (!) the owner didn’t give enough change back at the bar. After correcting him, he finally did; ⁃ Staff members where taking pictures of us and the girls in their bikinis when we were using the pool. We don’t know why and if it had a (non-personal) reason, but it would be nice to ask beforehand. It made the girls uncomfortable to use the pool. MAKE SURE THAT YOU GET WHAT YOU PAID FOR & BE AWARE OF YOUR MONEY

Come to Yanque and stay in a typical home from the colca canyon. We have rooms with private bathroom and hot water and also dorm with shared bathrooms, a common room and a garden to relax.

It is a new local, all the rooms are in a excellent conditions, it's a perfect place to rest, the breakfast is enough to start the trekking.
We stayed there before and after going to the Colca Canyon. Our room before going to the canyon was acceptable but the one we got on the return had no windows to the outside and only one pointing to the lounge. The manager's husband watched TV till late and we could not sleep because of the noice. There was also NO hot water the first night. On our return we complained and the woman (manager??) was so rude to us and shouted at us. She also do not know how to operate the card machine.I will not recommend this place because of the attitude of the manager, and the fact that there was no hot water.

We joined a 2 days 1 night tour from Puno to Colca Caynon and stayed at this hostel in Chivay for the night. It’s a basic hostel which located quite close to the main square. The staff doesn’t speak English and we managed to communicate with him by using Google translate. There was no heater, hair dryer and even toilet paper in the room. They charge you extra money for any of the above (e.g. 5 soles for borrowing a hair dryer). Although the room was quite cold at night, it was clean and they provided several layers of blankets. We got bread, ham and cheese and a little bit of fruits for the breakfast.
