Charming boutique hotel. The hotel is made of native lumber. Nice and confortable rooms with their own fire places, Phone, DirecTV, Wi-Fi, full bathroom with hair dryer. Hotel is located in the town center, two blocks from the main square and one block from Cochrane river.
A great place to stay
Reviewed By StevenSueWe spent four nights at the Ultimo Paraiso exploring Patagonia National Park, and doing some fishing. It was a great choice. The owners, Carlos and Nella, are wonderful hosts. We very much appreciated their advice on fishing, hiking, and dinners. They set up a boat to a nice hike for us one day. And we hired Carlos as a guide (and fly fishing teacher) for the Cochrane river one day which was a real highlight. Carlos will also provide you detailed advice if you just want to fish on your own. The rooms are very nice and each has its own wood stove for heat, if needed. Breakfasts were great and the common area is very nice also. Cochrane is about an hour from Patagonia National Park's headquarters. The Ultimo Paraiso, and Cochrane, make a great base for exploring this beautiful park. We enjoyed several days in the park, which, unlike most Chilean national parks, has good gravel road access to several hiking trails. We never found any part of the park at all crowded--we definitely enjoyed its feeling of remoteness.

Estamo0s located in the center of the city less than 200 meters from the main services and commerce of the Province of Glaciers, surrounded by natural attractions such as Northern Ice Fields, Tamango National Reserve, Patagonia Park, Cochrane River, Baker River, Glacier Calluqueo, Monte San Lorenzo, Brown Lake and many other beautiful places to enjoy countless experiences.
Modern, clean and great hosts

Rodolfo, his family and staff were very friendly, courteous, hospitable and service oriented. The apartment was clean, well-equipped, has a great Wi-Fi, and we had a fantastic stay. We very much enjoyed the fresh and delicious breakfast and couldn’t get enough from it.

One of the best (if not the best!) cabanas in the Carretera Austral
Reviewed By alva18999We stayed twice at the Cabanas Rincon del Sur during our trip to the Carretera Austral. Nicole and Felipe (the owners) are fantastic hosts and make you feel welcome as soon as you arrive. They have beautiful very stylish Cabanas 5 minutes from the city on a hill where you have a splendid view of the surroundings. The cabanas are modern, spacious and with excellent wi-fi. If we are ever in Cochrane again we will definitely go and stay with them again.

Great experience
Reviewed By esisaEverything was perfect. You have a dome and you feel all alone with the nature. We had a lunch-box, it was delicious ! Same for the breakfast and dinner, home made dishes. People working there are so nice, always asking if eveything is ok. Grest location to visit the Patagonia Park Chacabuco valley.

Muy buena atención
Reviewed By elisuar2019Excelente atención por parte del dueño. Las cabañas se encuentran ubicadas a pocos minutos de Cochrane, hermosas, bien cuidadas, calefacción a leña. Vista privilegiada. Se encuentran ubicadas a la vera del río. A destacar: el dueño te presta kayaks para navegar. Cuentan con todos los utensilios necesarios para cocinar, además de heladera, horno, pava eléctrica, microondas, parrilla (tipo chulengo) individual. Nota: En las fotos publicadas en la página del dueño aparecía una pequeña pileta climatizada en el exterior. Nos decidimos por esta cabaña, por este detalle. Resultó que hacía meses (o años) que no funcionaba -decepción-. Ojalá puedan repararla, porque sería un detalle que marcaría la diferencia.

Reviewed By 276loretolCon mis papás reservamos la habitación triple que tenían en noviembre de 2019, cuando llegamos a la hostal la señora nos miró con cara de espanto porque se la había arrendado a alguien más. Estuvimos cerca de una hora esperando una solución, nos ofreció una once mientras ella preparaba otra pieza que la tenía "en arreglos", hacía frío y cuando entramos a esa pieza casi nos congelamos, por cierto el acceso a es pieza es por fuera de la hostal, teníamos reservadas dos noches. Como era tarde nos quedamos ahí, estaba lloviendo y no era hora para salir a buscar, la pieza tenía ventanales grandes y se escuchaban hasta los perros que pasaban por afuera, para que decir del segundo piso, nos enteramos de todas las conversaciones y además que ni pudimos dormir bien por todo lo que crujía las tablas de arriba, la pieza tenía un baño exageradamente grande y sin terminar. Además había una escalera a la mitad de la habitación que arriba tenía otra pieza. La señora nos encencio la chimenea pero tenía filtración y nos congelamos igual. Al día siguiente le comentamos esto a la señora y dijo que se iban las personas de la pieza triple así que podíamos ir a ocuparla nosotros, al entrar a la pieza nuestra sorpresa fue mayúscula, una pieza que no tenía nad que ver con las fotos que presentan en Internet, llena de humedad, fria, las tablas crujían más incluso que abajo, no había tele, el wifi era muy muy malo y el tremendo desayuno que se promociona no vale la pena con el servicio que entrega el "hospedaje". Por cierto, cuando hicimos el contacto en noviembre se nos dijo que era una habitación con baño, pero es un baño para 6 habitaciones más, sin mentir estuve más de 20 minutos esperando para lavarme los dientes. No lo recomiendo para nada, ni de paso. Al frente hay un hospedaje que se llama sur austral, vayan a ese mejor.
